As the only person on the Internet in the Eastern/Central time zones to not be watching "Breaking Bad" or "Homeland," I am delighted to tell you that I hope you DVR'd tonight's season premiere. As often seems to be the case, this didn't seem like a special opener but something selected from the crop of episodes produced last year which hadn't aired yet. Not that there's anything wrong with that, because they usually try to pick a higher quality episode to lead off and this one delivered. Definitely evocative of "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" but missing an obvious giant W. If you hadn't seen it, it probably didn't affect how you viewed this episode (unlike "The Simpsons" earlier tonight). Good cutaways! ...this week. "Hurry Up, Shrimp" was especially funny to me but I couldn't tell you WHY. I noticed the missing comma in the final clue; do I get a medal?

As always, I fear the continued, inevitable slow decline this show feels like it's been on for years but tonight's show was at least as good as anything we've gotten out of "Family Guy" for quite a while. "You have to BELIEVE..."

Just waiting to see if we get some plain ol' closing credits for once before I hit Submit thread....oh, that wasn't good.

The shrimp joke was going a long way for a punchline that was...eh. The self-referential jokes about the cutaways was probably the best part of the episode. I thought the plot had promise, but they didn't really follow through.

And yes, I DVR'd it because I was watching Breaking Bad.
