| #1 Posted on 29.9.13 1930.31 Reposted on: 29.9.20 1931.45 | It's Animation Domination premiere night! ALSO known as the one night a year you can count on me to start four threads and then never touch any of these shows again for the rest of the season! (That's a lie. I occasionally reply.)
Having already shot their "Breaking Bad" wad in an into LAST season, the crack team opted instead for a half hour tribute to the OTHER big non-FOX Sunday show which I also don't watch airing tonight. I feel like I would have appreciated this so much more had I actually been familiar with the source material, which - for me at least - makes this an incredibly odd choice for a season opener. But I suppose it was perfectly fine as far as a "Simpsons" episode goes.
OK, I typed all that before the closing credits extension of the couch gag - THAT was the highlight of the episode for me. I'm not sure what that says. It probably isn't positive. | Promote this thread! | | geemoney

The plot wasn't derivative of previous episodes and some of the jokes were hits. That's really all it takes to meet my expectations for The Simpsons anymore. | oudom
