Believe it or not, that was the first thing my head went to as well, mainly because the tv show's the best place to deal with that particular cameo from Captain America.

Makes a little more sense now.
I've no objection to underground hackers, but it's almost absurd a "133t h4x0r" could look like a supermodel.
I thought of how Nick Fury could've talked Peterson down at Union Station, but it wouldn't fit for Fury and would've stole Coulson's thunder (ahem).
Also, Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, & Hulk & the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. are poised to be the Marvel Animated Universe. I haven't seen every episode of each to confirm that, though.
My review of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot. I'll also keep Nick Fury co-creator Jim Steranko's criticims in mind.

This was just the pilot, and it's impossible to judge a show when you don't really know what it's trying to accomplish. Chances are the characters outside of Coulson will be completely different five or six episodes from now. | lotjx

The wife and mine thoughts which may not be as important as Strenako, but Andy did get in a screaming match with him, so maybe that counts.

I think Coulson's probably a clone. In any event, clearly he's not the original Coulson.

I don't understand a lot of the dislike for it that I've seen here and especially on Facebook. Did people actually think that they would basically be seeing The Avengers broken down to an hour every week? Not gonna happen.
This show has a weekly budget like all TV shows. So anyone holding out for a exciting fast paced Avengers-like TV show or are waiting for Avenger characters showing up for cameos might as well just stop watching now.

Things I caught more the second time around. On the Coulson front:
Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
| Coulson telling Maria Hill, "Tahiti...you should go sometime," definitely means something. Hill says that he can never know what happened, but there's a chance that he actually might be well aware of what's happened. |
And as for the force behind the Centipede, it's too early to tell who it might be. The presence of Extremis would appear to point to A.I.M., given that they're connected in the cinematic universe. But if we're going with connected pieces of the cinematic universe, I actually can't help but hope (because there's zero percent chance of this happening) that the Big Bad turns out to be...
Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
| The Leader, given that we're not getting another standalone Hulk movie and that the Samuel Sterns plot thread from the Ed Norton movie was never resolved. When you also account for the Centipede's high content of gamma radiation, this would at least be plausible. And hey, who better to out-think the ultimate spy organization? |

I wouldn't say right on. I didn't feel punted into P.C.-ville by the Hooded Hero being black. There were some excellent points though.
I liked this, wasn't blown away but it was enjoyable enough and will stick with it for probably the whole season 1st unless it really turns to shit. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
