He never recovered from the multiple turns he had and I barely remembered he was part of Aces and Eights at times. I would think Japan or the indys is where he is off too.
Mickie is just stupid. She is one of the most over knockouts they have and she can work a match. You would think TNA would find a way to sign her unless WWE came back with a real offer. It is not a good sign for TNA. | John Orquiola

He had badly timed injuries and he hurt Cena and nearly injured Orton. That last one got him fired. He was also out of action right when he was going to be revealed as Vince's son. | KJames199

It's also worth noting that he was a horrible wrestler with no redeeming qualities beyond yelling his own name. So... no redeeming qualities.
Also wasn't there a thing where he did some big mainstream interview about the evils of steroids and boy isn't it great that the WWE is clean now and then failed a drug test or got popped in one of those internet pharmacy busts like a week later? | graves9

He also injured Bobby Lashley when the company was trying its damndest to push him as the next big thing.
Given how indestructible Cena was over the span of his career up until this year, Kennedy had to be one hell of a sloppy worker to hurt him for any considerable length of time.
But if anything, no one's at the company will ever forget Kennedy's infamous CNN appearances. He will not be coming back. | OndaGrande

| #18 Posted on 25.9.13 0252.27 Reposted on: 25.9.20 0254.37 | Anderson being cut is good riddance to bad garbage. But Mickie leaving is just bad. Only 4 Knockouts left and Brooke is just being used as Bully Ray's girl. OVW has more going on with their women's division right now. I did see they used Lei D' Tapa on some house shows so they might actually end up putting her back on tv but she's still pretty green really. Another report I saw said they only drew 200 paid to the El Paso live show, which is pathetic for a "major" company and even disappointing for most of the better indy's. Most reports show that TNA is averaging drawing around 500 with tv tapings getting about 1200. There are over 2 dozen promotions here in California & most typically draw 50-150 with a handful getting up to 300. There are at least 4 that regularly draw anywhere from 350 to 850 with some of their shows getting 900-1200 and fair shows ( where admission is all inclusive ) pulling close to 2000. ROH even still gets 300-600 to most of their live shows and tv tapings. So even with "star power" and TV, TNA is doing comparatively awful when it comes to compelling the tv audience to attending the live events. | Amos Cochran

| #20 Posted on 25.9.13 1000.46 Reposted on: 25.9.20 1002.01 | IIRC, the injury story was it cost him the MitB (lost the briefcase to Edge) only for him to find out he wasn't as hurt as everyone thought. He could've just sat out a month and come back, but the briefcase was long gone.
On topic - Mickie and Ken aren't being let go because they were good or bad or anything in between. Everyone except the top most guys* who's being paid anything decent isn't getting the deal again. It appears to be either per night deal (for a low amount) or nothing at all and ex-WWE people can still do better for that. They're still going to have to prepare for the next career, but TNA was pushing them that way already.
TNA's not going to run out of people, because there are always new people in their young 20s willing to take small paychecks to live out their dream of appearing on TV. (see: every reality show.) It just might be more of a stars and scrubs approach, for however long it lasts, and puts more emphasis on the stars.
* - maybe we'll find out if they apply in a couple months |
