Shailene Woodley Cut From 'Amazing Spider-Man 2 (THR.com)

Yikes. The comments on all the behind the scene photos have been very negative towards Shailene Woodley not being "hot enough" to play MJ and now there's word Marc Webb might even recast the role of MJ.

In other Amazing Spider-Man news, Sony has revealed that ASM3 is set for June 10, 2016, and ASM4 (!!!) on May 4, 2018. Wow, usually it's a trilogy.

Rumors for the next two installments were that they'd round out the Sinister Six group in 3 and do the whole set as the finale in 4.

A Trilogy is a story that has an arc that covers all three films. Just because you have three films, doesn't make it a trilogy.

I wouldn't even call The Dark Knight films a trilogy since none of them were planned ahead on a large scale to work together.

Which version of the Six? There's been about 30, give or take.

Doc Ock has to be in Sinister Six or its not the Sinister Six. I know fans were losing their mind over Emma being in the Gwen Stacy Bridge outfit. Dunst wasn't that good of an MJ. When I think of MJ, I think bombastic super model, but since they refuse to age Peter, it becomes impossible to imagine a teenager nailing a super model who a super model who can act.

They won't do Doc Ock, I don't think. Scorpion or someone, maybe. Shocker?

My enthusiasm for this film is plummeting.

They got the Spider-man costume right, and Gwen Stacy right... but man... all the behind the scenes photos of Electro and Rhino don't look so great.

I liked the first one well enough. I was troubled to hear that pretty much the main plot got snipped out due to studio tinkering.

I'll keep watching this series because I like Spider-Man, but I probably won't be REALLY happy until Marvel somehow wrestles the rights back. (Unlikely any time soon, due to how many sequels Sony has already announced.)

Marvel has the tv rights, so Peter Parker, Agent of Shield could happen.

I think one of the more successful, fleshed out versions of MJ has been in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. She's got that nerd-hot, Tina Fey thing. That might not be the best option on the big screen I suppose, but it works in the comics.

I'm thinking Electro is gonna look a lot different once effects are added. He's BLUE...as in blue screen.

I'm not expecting the yellow lightning bolt costume but have you seen the pre-Electro look with the nerd glasses and comb over? And Rhino wearing Adidas jumper and weird tattoo on his forehead.

Rumors also circulating that they are replacing Shailene with Sarah Gadon from Cosmopolis.
