Just when you thought George Michael was kind of a background character this season (payback for Cera allegedly dragging his feet about returning?) we get this joyous episode. Just the idea of Cera spoofing Jesse Eisenberg is hilarious, then when it's all tied to that one random piece of original-series trivia that George Michael plays the woodblock and is really good at keeping time.

I love how George Michael and Maeby's lives improved as they took control of their lives and got away from their parents and family.

And yet they took such divergent paths. George Michael went out to college, basically put his family drama behind him, and grew to become an individual. Compare to Maeby, who actively held on to her family drama to the point that she's essentially wasted her entire life and has nothing to show for the last five years.
George Michael and Maeby's stories aren't the funniest (ok, Maeby had some great moments), but they're easily the most fascinating. | EddieBurkett

I didn't get that impression at all. I had a feeling that he and his Fakeblock software were going to become hugely important, especially as he and Michael had increasingly more missed connections and it became clear that he was dating Rebel. (I knew the setup for GOB earlier was misdirection!)
If anyone felt like a background character, it was Buster.
I like how this episode recontextualizes Michael's put down of the musician in 4x1.

"I'm Maharis." "I'm a heiress." Rewatching this season is probably going to be pretty mindblowing all over the place. I marveled at the unpacking of FakeBlock.
I recognized that everyone's individualized credits had a little personal touch at the end, but GM's was the only one I managed to make out: the woodblock.
Held my breath with anticipation as George-Michael teased revealing his chicken dance. "Block block."

I was thinking the exact same thing, but IMDB seems to back it up.
