Let's do this.
All 15 episodes go live at 3:00 a.m. EST. If I wasn't going to a wedding tomorrow afternoon, I'm almost certain I'd do them all in one day. As it stands, I can't see going beyond Monday without having seen everything and beginning the requisite rewatches. What's your AD strategy? Are you rationing? Marathoning? Somewhere in between? Mitch Hurwitz advises taking some healthy breaks.
Even though everything drops at once, I presume it'd be easiest if we started separate threads per episode, right?

I have a friend's play to attend tomorrow afternoon, but I'm thinking 5 in the morning soon as I wake, 5 in the evening, and 5 Monday. (Those last two sections are variable.) Then a rewatch with friends.
15 new AD threads? I guess it'd have to be that way to avoid spoiling for people who aren't binging.

Just please please please tag them, for the love of God. (I'll make sure the icon is back in the list when I get to it)

I'm going over to a friend's house tomorrow to watch...I dunno, at least five or six of them, I'd reckon. We might end up watching the whole thing, Hurwitz's demand notwithstanding.

Also, episode titles in the thread titles, please. Netflix will have the titles for each episode, but they're also here. (imdb.com)
EDIT: They are NOT there. Stick with Netflix for episode titles.

Aw crap, they are going to stream these only? I'm oldschool and still on disc only. There hasn't been any word on them putting this out on DVD has there?

I'm a Virgo, so I'll be rationing. :-) Although I have had the IFC marathon on in the background most of the day today. Any wagers whether Netflix can do their thing with a smooth cutover?

I won't be able to start watching until tomorrow night, and can probably only watch one to three episodes per night, so I appreciate everyone's discretion about spoilers!

I started the thread for episode 1 and it's safe to say each thread for each episode will have spoilers so don't click on threads for episodes you haven't seen.

We have two episodes left before I needed food (and wanted to enjoy one more evening out during the long weekend). It's incredibly dense, and started off a bit shaky, but around episode 6 things started paying off and it seemed to finally find a rhythm.

I would have preferred one a day or thereabouts, but I didn't want the internet to spoilerz my fun and it was raining yesterday anyway so I blasted through all 15 in one sitting.
Agreed that the season as a whole is more of an awesome mind puzzle than non-stop LOLs, but there were lots of LOLs to be had. I appreciate the callbacks and, for some things, the lack thereof.
Best episode on initial watch was the first GOB episode.

After going through the whole shebang, I have to say, they really would have benefited with a more traditional weekly episodic release schedule, especially for something as plot-heavy as AD. I already know I'm going to wind up watching some of these episodes a second time, because I don't even remember what some of the main plots are. And God help you if you try and discuss any of it with anyone, because it's so difficult to tell who's seen what episodes.

Originally posted by JoystiqMore than half of Xbox users watching Netflix this past Sunday were streaming the new season of Arrested Development, according to a report from bandwidth management firm Procera published by Mashable.
The return of the long-awaited fan favorite not only claimed up to 36 percent of Netflix's traffic on some networks, but created increases in Netflix watching in general by as much as 10 percent, with the Xbox 360 and the PS3 leading the charge on devices used to stream Netflix video.
Video game consoles have been major Netflix viewing devices, and Arrested Development's premiere made that tie even clearer. Just over 40 percent of all PS3 users watching Netflix on Sunday were watching the Bluths; just over 20 percent of iPad users were in that crowd as well.
Additionally, about ten to fifteen percent of all Netflix viewers, says Procera, went on a binge, finishing off all 15 episodes by Monday morning. Watching all of those intricately laid jokes all mushed together in one late-night run? Sounds like a huge mistake.

And Netflix stock still took a slide. It sorta puts into question whether they will do something this big again. It cost $50 million for House of Cards, so I am curious what Arrested's cost.

Why are some of you actually complaining about Netflix putting the whole 15 episodes on at the same time? You don't have to watch them all at once. No one is holding a gun to your head. I'm watching two a day, and I have no problems with it. Just because it's there doesn't mean you have to see it all now. Moderation, people, moderation.
