THE SKINNY: Rick and the Governor sit together to work out a deal. Rick wants to divide the land between the prison and Woodbury. The Governor threatens all-out slaughter unless Rick hands over Michonne. Herschel chats with Milton and Andrea. Daryl and a Woodbury guard shares cigarettes after killing some walkers. Merle is prevented from leaving the prison to attack the Woodbury crew, and Glen and Maggie make up and make out. Rick returns to the prison to tell the gang the Governor is gonna come after them, but he confides in Herschel about the Michonne deal, and neither man is proud to say they're considering it. Milton learns that the Governor plans to kill everyone when the two camps reconvene, and that doesn't sit well, and Andrea learns her latest alpha male wasn't a gentleman with Maggie.

THE GOOD: Seems some time has passed, and everyone looks just a tad different. Rick and the Governor can act and get to show that during their summit. Everyone does a really good job in the episode. Michonne reacts to Merle's plan by immediately asking about Andrea. We get a steamy basic cable sex scene, and the moral dilemma facing Rick and Herschel makes sense even while I yell at my TV to support Michonne. Herschel moves between Milton and Andrea nicely.

THE BAD: Merle is literally wrestled by the prison crew and Carol is nowhere to be found. A huge missed opportunity.

Hey I recognize that title. "Seen the arrow on the doorpost saying 'this land is condemned'" is a Bob Dylan lyric.

Blind Willie McTell, which I know from the Band's album Jericho. Had no idea it was a Dylan original -- man that guy is everywhere.

Another decent setup episode. We had one of these the week before last, too. This better mean the final act begins next week. I think it said there are three more left, so that sounds about right.

Daryl and Herschel opening up and sort of befriending some Woodburyites was a heavy handed way to indicate that someone will probably try to sabotage the Gov's plans from the inside.

I'm glad Rick sorta realized the Michhone deal is garbage. Andrea, fucking Andrea now wants to switch sides? What about the time you could have killed the Governor? She is TNA booking personified. Eliza on Talking Dead pointing out the Governor was doing the Bill Clinton, I didn't have relations with Maggie was dead on.

It's probably just me, but I thought the Rick/Governor Summit was kinda underwhelming. I probably had the confrontation too hyped up in my own head. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but it lacked a certain tension. Also, I think it was too one-sided. Rick was too quiet.

I really loved Daryl sharing the cigarettes, the Hershel/Milton bonding moment, and especially Andrea getting her ass kicked out of the Summit.

I'm going to have to say that I thought that the episode was just ... dull. I get what they were getting at, but the characters aren't strong enough to carry this type of episode. I didn't hate it, I know it is taking us somewhere but I wasn't dialed in either.

Outside of the small interactions between Herchel and Milton and Daryl and the other guy, I thought this was a blow off episode.

Thank God Rick sees through the Governor. I mean, had the Governor LEAD with Michone for freedom, then MAYBE you could trust him. But after hours of conversation, he ends with it. Stupid.
