And that is what ND did thus week. The annoying trap game brought to you by the Book of Mormons is avoided. The old ball coach is fried. LSU can wreck teams on their way to face Bama or be a nice feather in the cap of Florida. The ass whooping KSU put on West Virginia pretty much killed Geno's Heisman chances. I am not sure if the SEC is the best conference out there, but its pretty clear some of those teams are not top ten teams.

Was anyone else setting their watches by Purdue choking?
Have to give State Penn, I mean Penn State, credit for turning their season around. The Big Ten: Where finishing 3rd in a division gets you in a conference championship game.
Who fires the coach first: Auburn or Tennessee?
Has a Heisman coronation ever crashed as quickly as Geno Smith. Have to give the West Virginia defense credit though, they are consistent in victory and defeat.
I'll freely admit that back in August, if you offer me Notre Dame going to Norman to play Oklahoma unbeaten, I'd sign for it in blood. Offense for ND has clicked better away from South Bend this season.

Kent State, which hasn't made a bowl game since 1972, became bowl-eligible after its drubbing of Western Michigan improved them to 6-1. How about that? Go, Flashes!

Duke's last bowl was in1995, not as a big of a drought as Kent State, but who would have thought that they would be the first team in the ACC Coastal to be bowl eligible.

Being a Terp fan, I hate Duke's basketball team with a passion but I find myself rooting for their football team. What a turn around they've made in the last 15 years or so.

Gotta go with Auburn. I don't even know how you screw up a program that bad.

Being bowl eligible in the MAC is not the same as actually getting to go to a bowl. Not Kent State's fault, but they need to get to the MAC title game to feel safe.

Was really happy for Duke. Thought they had blown it with that crazy NC touchdown near the end, was a great comeback drive for Duke after that.

That said, I hope they get crushed this weekend.
