Reposted on: 23.5.19 2152.14 | I wasn't impressed by this season at all. That Phillip won is fitting because he seems like he's just kinda there much like the season was as a whole. When the big moment of the season comes in the Top 13 (When Jessica sang Whitney) there is a problem.
Phillip is going to need the additional boost winning can bring as I believe he'll struggle after a while. Jessica, Josh and Skylar are on the way to being big stars. I'm not sure if we'll ever hear of any of the other finalists again.
The judging panel needs a MAJOR overhaul. I am so sick of the J.Lo show where everything she's involved in is constantly plugged. Dump Steven and Randy too since they hardly say anything of major importance. A panel of Jimmy Iovine, Elton John (or icon of a similar stature) and a former winner like Carrie Underwood or Jordin Sparks would be a good start in my opinion. | Promote this thread! |             | Oliver

Phillip Phillip Phillips really impressed me, but I'm pretty sure he won't be remembered after next year.
A few thoughts:
-Jessice destroyed I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. Wow, that hurt my ears.
-Jennifer Holliday acts like a psycho.
-Skylar is hot.

Southerners are marks for geography so they go apeshit for anyone in the region regardless of talent (we are responsible for Taylor Hicks too). Add to that teen girls who thought Phillip was dreamy and he was a lock.
I thought he sucked. His CCR covers were horrible. His performances came off as phony and he smiled more than Cena. | jerichofan717

I'm glad the ratings sucked, this year's finale was DREADFUL.
I agree with Scottyflamingo about the joke the voting process has become. I'll bet of the world record voting turnout they were bragging about, roughly half of the voters cast multiple ballots.
