I didn't think the Viewer Mail gimmick was worth recycling, but here we are, ten years later, going through it again. It was good for a few laughs, mostly from the Robin Williams short. Of course, I can't help but feel it stemmed from Seth MacFarlane getting an itch to do a Robin Williams impression for seven minutes, but it was actually a little chilling at the end with Peter's severed stumps.

Moving to the second episode, the fights with the Giant Chicken have just about lost all their novelty, but I credit the attempt to spice it up with the Back to the Future cameo and the dozens of clones.

As for the actual plot...I don't understand why they feel the need to make certain characters so unlikable. If Lois became an unlikable character, Bonnie outdoes her tenfold. I mean, who actively resents their loved ones for being crippled like that? I get that this is supposed to be a complex scenario, but I can't exactly say I disagree with Joe deciding to cheat on Bonnie and demand a divorce given how she treats him. I kinda wish they had stuck with it, because their relationship...is not a happy one.

This was kind of a heavier way to end the season, but...eh...I'll give it a pass.

I was ready to walk away from this show after last year, but decided to stick with it for another season. Am I ever glad I did! This show bounced back in a big way this year! It emphasized the heavy stuff less and even when it did go to the intensity well, it managed to stay consistently FUNNY! That's all I ever wanted -- was for this show to be FUNNY! Hope they can keep it going next season!

I am always going to be a mark for the Chicken Fight. I actually liked this one better than the last one. Viewer Mail could be funny if they actually ripped some of the less than stellar viewers a new one. I liked the British One even with the rather tasteless Diana joke. Stewie's POV was just nice. As for the season, I thought it was good, not great, not God awful like the internet wants to make it out to be. Just good.

I thought the Robin Williams part was quite brilliant. When you first get into Robin, you think he is this comic genius who can riff on the fly- then you see him do the same schtick on every talk show and the same go-to characters and realize how annoying it is.

Peter gets to experience what seems like fun turn into a nightmare when you realize the guy never stops. I think living with Robin if he is "on" 24/7 would be quite hellish.
