Reposted on: 11.5.19 1645.07 | I attended the world premiere last night. It wasn't the most thrilling premiere in the world, in terms of atmosphere or cast interaction. SBC was in character of course and some of what he said was amusing, but he ended up repeating too much material. The film, however, turned out to be far better than I feared it would be. I loved Borat, but hated Bruno so I was fine with the idea of him turning to fully scripted comedy.
I've posted my review here (http://londonfilmfanatiq.com) for those interested in such things. If you're into offensive humour, check it out. It's some goofy, mean-spirtited fun.

I do do spoilers, but I wrote a brief review (backofthehead.com) with far fewer spoilers than I'm usually prone to. Too many hilarious jokes I don't want to ruin. Sacha Baron Cohen's work always crushes me. I enjoyed The Dictator a lot. (Disclosure: I liked Bruno. Though not nearly as much as I loved Borat.
