if i read right it will effect FOX Cable channels like FX, all the FOX sports channels, FOX Movie, BUT not local FOX channels, yet.

FOX's statement (keepmynets.com)

DirecTV's statement (ourpromisetoyou.com)

Kurt Sutter in typical Kurt Sutter fashion has threatened to release the last three rough cut episodes of Sons of Anarchy if there is no deal. I am almost praying for it to happen since this season has been tense as fuck and I want to watch it all at once.

SO, when they ADD channels they increase the amount we pay, will we get a reduction in our bill if this isn't ironed out?

You should call them and ask, and then let us know what their answer is!

I'm curious as to why if all but the Fox local TV networks are included, why aren't the Fox News channels being removed?

Last year around this time, this same issue occurred with Dish Network, which prompted me to switch to Direct TV, (All over not wanting to miss any episodes of SOA, and Direct TV was offering some really good deals).

For those who are with Dish Network, did they really drop those channels for any period of time? If so, how long did it last before they reached an agreement?

Those are negotiated separately; the fee is probably higher. When the channel launched, Fox actually paid operators to carry it rather than charging as usual, which was brilliant because it got the network in a lot more households than MSNBC which started around the same time. Fox then turned it around once the channel became an indispensable part of the lineup.

I'll definitely be calling to cancel the extra sports package that I pay for specifically so I can receive FOX Sports Ohio (Cincinnati Reds games), plus a poopload of College Basketball/Football games I wouldn't see otherwise. However, I'm sure that we won't receive a reduction for losing FX, etc just like we didn't for the period of time we didn't have Versus. But since I'll call about the sports package when/if it happens, I'll definitely post about any info I get at that time.
