Thoughts from anyone? Eagles is great and deserves to be recognized especially considering PWI's position that WWE & TNA were doing little to elevate the validity of their Champions and rosters in general. Being kayfabe there are several wrestlers ,based on their abilities, deserving of either higher ranking or being on the list. But part of their criteria is exposure to the fans so in that context there is room for argument.Wrestlers I feel deserve to be ranked higher are Portia Perez, Nicole Matthews, Rachel Summerlynn, Jessica James, & Sassy Stephie.

1. Madison Eagles (Shimmer Champion. PWWA Champion. Chikara)
2. Mercedes Martinez (WSU Champion, Shimmer)
3. Mickie James (TNA Knockouts Champion)
4. Natalya (WWE)
5. Madison Rayne (TNA)
6. Cheerleader Melissa (Shimmer, RCW, NCWFF,NWA/ProWrestling Revolution, Chickfight)

16. Serena Deeb (Shimmer, WSU, SMASH)
17. Velvet Sky (TNA)
18. Ayako Hamada (Shimmer)
19. LuFisto (SHIMMER, NCWFF)
20. Winter (TNA, W.I.L.D. Champion)
21. Brie Bella (WWE)
22. Angel Orsini (WSU, ArenaChicks)

I find it wrong that Layla, Eve and Kelly Kelly are listed higher then the Canadian Ninjas ( Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews) and Rachel Summerlynn who are all in the 30's

Sara Del Rey should be higher. She's one of my favourite female wrestlers right now and of all time. But maybe she hasn't done a lot lately? Or has she? Why doesn't the E sign her?

Just as a reality check, Cherry Bomb is AWFUL.

She wouldn't even make my Top 10 of the Quebec girls (NCWFF)

I little surprised an Indy won it. Usual PWI goes a little more Kayfabe and gives it to one of the Divas who can barely wrestler. It is a shame that you go through this list and see Sara, Cheerleader Melissa and other female wrestlers who are great wrestlers that not on TV right now for whatever reasons. TNA really need to keep Melissa and go with more indy girls then getting old WWE rejects.

Obviously, there are a lot of problems with this list, but what I don't understand is, how is Brie Bella number 21, but Nikki Bella isn't even on the list? There's no way you can tell me that there's such a gap in talent between the two of them that this placement on the list makes any sense.

Wasn't Brie the champion? So probably she has wrestled a lot more in the past year than Nikki. And maybe she was the one who also picked up the wins when they did their twin-magic. That would mean she deserves to be higher than her sister

Obviously I have no clue.
Also, I don't watch Shimmer so I don't know many of these women or how talented they are, but I always thought that Sara Del Rey is an easy top-5 pick for any list.

Yeah, Brie held the Diva's Title for 70 days during the the time period.

Also, I was extremely bored, so I watched every match involving the Bella Twins that was on WWE.com.
From July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011:
Nikki went 2-5 in singles matches.
Brie went 4-1 in singles matches.
The two of them went 6-3 in tag team matches.
The two of them went 6-2 when involved in a >2 person tag team.
And individually, Nikki won a Diva's Battle Royal, but Brie won two tag team matches in which Nikki was not an official participant.

So yeah, from the standings it does appear that Brie is more talented. Or knowing that they win every match by Twin Magic, maybe we can say that Nikki is the real brains behind it, because she's done much better at helping Brie win than vice versa.

*nods* Bailed early on a Diva battle royal, wants her release, WWE isn't giving it to her, so she's sitting on her ass at home instead of helping Beth and Natalya on their crusade.

Might wanna re-read Tenken347's post as he never suggested she shouldn't, just that it makes no sense Brie's #21 and Nikki's at most #51.

Is there another woman named Eve Torres who works for WWE? Because the one I know isn't in Gail Kim's league, let alone more than twice as good. I'll also assume the same with Alicia Fox, as the one I know can't even hit her own finishing move half the time. And acts exactly the same after turning babyface that she did as a heel. 4 better than AJ...to quote The Situation, ARE YOU SERIOUS BRO?

Obvs Kaitlyn should be #1 ;)

I don't know if this list comprises of the women that are currently active, or a list of those that were active at all during 2011. If the latter, then Michelle McCool should be somewhere on there.

I would point out that I look like a prophet based on my first impression of seeing Madison Eagles live, but then I'd have to take responsibility for speaking ill of Jessie McKay and that would be terrible.

She flew around the ring, moving with speed that you wouldn't dream of from a girl that big. I really hope that they can get over to these shores on a regular basis, and think TNA would be very well served to look at Eagles. The result was really secondary for me compared to how blown away I was by her performance.

For those of you who would like to see the #1 female worker according to PWI (and #2, #6, #9, #10, and about 15 more listed) SHIMMER is running again on October 1st and 2nd in Berwyn, IL. I cannot recommend these shows enough. For $30 a day you get 6 hours of the best female wrestlers from around the world.

Also Kellie Skater should be given her own ranking as the awesomest person in the world, transcending mundane numeric ranking systems. But that's just one man's opinion.

I told you then about McKay. Of course I don't see her on this list, and I have lost track of her, so I don't know if she warrants a spot on the list this year.

You were totally right about McKay. Her series of matches with Nicole Matthews has been excellent, and her SHIMMER title match with Eagles earlier this year was awesome. I'm guessing that she is one of those who because she didn't do much in the US just didn't get considered this year, but her work in SHIMMER has been top-notch since she started working singles.
