This ep was basically filler between Ferrell's exit and the finale. Probably why there isn't a thread yet.

I did like the ending though. CREED as acting manager should be pure gold.

Kind of a relief to just have a normalish post-Carell episode. Then again, Dwight fired a gun, so normalish is a moving target.

Kind of disappointing that they'd blow through Dwight as manager within one episode since it's been one of the character's fundamental ambitions since the show began. I don't think Dwight would be sustainable as the permanent replacement, but it could've played out as an arc like some of the past changes in the power structure. I think the timing of Michael's exit, Ferrell's stint, and the finale might have made it difficult to pace everything the way they'd've liked.

It's just a one-off joke though. Not sure what will go there full-time. Maybe more jokes based on fake longterm bosses, their own Simpsons couch.

Next week's should be grand.

I liked this episode. The opening segments were great and I got a good laugh out of "Junior Employee". Jim and Pam's look after Dwight rose and slowly walked to Michael's old office to anoint himself was another highlight.

As soon as the search committee was asked to go with seniority, we knew it would be Creed... but it was still hilarious to actually see him sitting behind the desk. I give the writing team credit for that: we knew the gag that was coming, but it was still funny.

Really excited for the finale, now. Of the people we saw in the teaser, I'll be jizzing in my pants if Will Arnett gets the job/role. Come on!!

Scary thought: would they use "who will be the new Boss of The Office" as the cliffhanger for next season?

A good episode that spotlighted the cast.

My favourite little moment was when Oscar discovered hardwood floor underneath the carpet through the bullet hole.

I think the highlight was Toby showing excitement when he learned he could fill out the firearms incident papers, and then being even giddier when he got to check the terrorist box.

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
Things could always change but it seems Arnett is signed for another NBC pilot with Christina Applegate:

Up All Night
Christina Applegate will headline the formerly untitled comedy Up All Night, about a working mom's take on parenting. As far as I know, Will Arnett is still signed-on to play Applegate's on-screen, lazy, stay-at-home dad.
Arbitrary Grade: B+ There's nothing new about a comedy featuring a working mom, but Applegate as a snarky mom and Arnett as her worthless hubby could be a winning combo.

I have not heard if they have chosen anyone yet, so maybe it will be a cliffhanger. Personally, if you are not going to get Gervais, don’t even tease me with it. Just don’t have Gervais in a cameo and then give me freaking Ray Romano!

I spent about 28 minutes thinking this WAS the finale, and wondered how they were going to work all those cameos into the tag. I'm glad I was wrong.

Hated boring Gabe, now loathing crazy Gabe. He gots ta go.

I'm not sure anything they do could live up to the possibilities in my head, but I am very much looking forward to next week in hopes of seeing Creed run a meeting.

You know, in an alternate reality, I would've liked to have seen *everyone* get a shot at being the boss. There are enough people in the cast they could've rotated everyone through one episode as the head of DM and it could've taken up almost a full season of episodes alone. Not sure what the storyline reason for it would be, but it would've been an entertaining arc.
