I can't lie, I haven't looked forward to this episode. The show's on a big losing streak, as it is, and the episode's premise seemed so cliche that I was expecting nothing out of it.

And of course, we weren't off to a good start. The segment with Carter destroying the bus bench just went on SOOOO long! And it didn't get any better from there. MAN, that joke with Peter arranging the high school shooting really felt like it was in poor taste.

The last segment did have a great moment. The police sketch artist manatee gag was good for a decent chuckle, but the fact that they followed it up with Chris getting mugged by Peter's racist drawing was the highlight of the episode.

But as is usually the case these days, they went overboard with the serious/uncomfortable tone and the episode ended with a thud.

It's another thumbs down for HD-era Family Guy.

"I guess we learned no matter who you are or where you're from, life is a terrible thing."

Best episode in a while, for what it's worth.

"What are you chicken? Bawk bawk bawk!" "That's fake."

Even the wife turned to me during the Carter/Crane scene and said "padding". I did like Chris as the adult and the small B storyline of Stewie trying to get Brian to Criss Cross. The Columbine joke may have been a tad too much. I didn't think it was as good as Bob or Cleveland show, but it wasn't as terrible as the early ones this year.

If someone could find me an animated GIF of Stewie slapping Rupert around, I would be much obliged ... that was pretty much the highligh of the episode for me.

Another half hearted episode. Is McFarlin mad at Fox or something? Family Guy hasn't been funny in awhile. Maybe they are just focusing too much on the Cleveland show scripts.
