If you include ties, the AL East lead changed hands between these two 11 times since the break. NYY seems vulnerable down the stretch, and I have a feeling that with 6 left to play against Boston, the Red Sox will spoil things a bit.

The Braves have faltered, and the Phillies seem to be ending the season the same way they started it (hot with lots of offense). But there are 6 left to play between these two, and there’s more than enough time to see the Phils just vanish the way they have many times this season. It’s hard to pick against the Braves, especially since they close the season at home, but I will. :-)

Don't get me wrong, I want the Braves to win but other teams are picking up more momentum right now whereas the Braves are not playing like a team that has held the lead in the NL East for the better part of the season. | edoug

Logically, going from up at least 10 games in the division to completely out of the playoffs SHOULD have someone calling for Bud Black's job. But when you consider that before the season started, everyone was picking San Diego to finish near the bottom of the division and thought Adrian Gonzalez would finish the season with the Red Sox, I think Black did a hell of a job this year.
