I've always had a soft-spot for Ricky Williams. Even when they were castigating him for bailing on the Dolphins, I couldn't be angry at him.
Same with Alex Rodriguez. I see a guy who wants so hard to be liked. The consequence of that is that he acts in a manner that he thinks will get people to like him, but people can always smell a phony.
When I watched basketball in the Jordan era, I always looked up to the playing style (though of course not the antics) of Dennis Rodman. I guess for a slow fat white kid, Rodman's game was the only one that it seemed like I had any chance of ever achieving: try hard for the rebounds, be a pinpoint passer, and only shoot when necessary. That guy got the crap kicked out of him and kept going. One of the hits he took reminded me of Saturn & Kronos' finishing move. As someone who's had reconstructive surgery on both ankles, I cringed at every hit he took, knowing what that must feel like. And the guy's 40 years old!
The bruises made me wince a little more.
I was indifferent to him throughout his career, but I'm hoping he comes back for another season, because he's sure as hell entertaining. | Kevintripod

For the life of me I don't understand the hate for Sarah Silverman.
I feel sorry for Governor Quinn (medicine woman) of IL, he seems like a real stand-up kind of guy who will be forever in the shadow of Rod Blagojevich and Mike Madigan.
I also know I'm in a distinct minority when it comes to Comcast.

I've had great luck with Comcast. The OnDemand stuff is great and the Internet service never, ever goes down. More HD channels would be nice and the Big10 Network freezes up a little too often but those are my only complaints. | JayJayDean

Well, that's going to change (consumerist.com).

| #17 Posted on 7.2.10 1816.00 Reposted on: 7.2.17 1816.33 | Some great things on this list. I also think Sarah Silverman is funny (and hot!)...but I really want to try White Castle. Eventually they'll come to Canada, right?
On my list:
-the Fake Razor Ramon and Diesel. Call me weird, but I liked it. Crazy thing is, I thought that the second Diesel looked good, and the second Razor really worked hard. I'm impartial, because I've gotten to know Rick Bogner well, and according to him, Diesel/Razor were to beat Owen/Bulldog for the titles at one point, but the angle soured. But I thought it was good.
-the Fake Kane gimmick - they could have done so much with it. I loved it.
-Michael Waltrip. Regardless of what happens, he's a gracious racer. I think he was one of the first to adopt Toyota in NASCAR, too.
-Grease 2 - I liked it better than the original. | SchippeWreck
