Sources: Vladimir Guerrero agrees to one-year deal with Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers have agreed to terms with Vladimir Guerrero on a one-year deal with a mutual option for a second year, according to sources.
Guerrero is guaranteed $6 million in the deal, which is pending a physical. It includes $5 million plus performance incentives for 2010 and a $1 million buyout if the Rangers don't pick up the option, a source said.
It'd be one thing if three of the Angels' top guys just went about their merry way and left the team for greener pastures. It's another thing when all three of them (Guerrero to Texas, Figgins to Seattle, Lackey to Boston) go directly into a situation where they can come right back and kick the Angels in the ass. This is borderline depressing for Angels fans, especially when the only move they've made to counter this chaos is to sign an aging Hideki Matsui.
This is a good signing for Texas, but is only good enough to elevate them to second in the division. Nothing will be able to touch the savvy offseason moves Seattle made.

He's a great fit for that stadium in Texas as well. As for the Angels ... it's odd to see a team that wants to be big market act so small market. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
