It looks like it's possible after only seeing three games of action Click Here (sports.espn.go.com).

I have to say I'm surprised that he's having this much of a problem already. I really figured he would walk the line this year and prove he still has something left.

That being said I am dying to see him on the Knicks who are just abysmal at this point and need someone who can keep the games interesting. At one point tonight the Knicks were down to a Michael Redd'less Bucks team by 36 points ... 36!

The Knicks make the only sense right now. He's got a one year deal and they have a starting spot.

The Bobcats make sense, but for who-knows-what reason, they just refuse to go in that direction.

The word is that Iverson's upset that he's coming off the bench, which begs this question: Who the hell could possibly be lighting the world on fire that Iverson has to come off the bench in MEMPHIS???

OJ Mayo and Mike Conley. They're pretty good. And they told Iverson when he signed that they wanted to start their younger players to allow them to develop.

Memphis is a pretty young and exciting team.

You'd think a guy that can't get signed by most NBA teams would be fine with coming off the bench for a team that took a chance on him, but what do I know?

Iverson is one of my favorite players in the NBA and I hope this Memphis thing does work out. It might if he shuts up and just plays.

Not to mention that Zach Randolph and Rudy Gay are also capable of scoring 20 points any given night. Not a lot of scoring left over to go around.

It really makes you wonder why Memphis would even attempt to bring Iverson in. Unless they really weren't sure about Conley.

I'm guessing some of it may have to do with bringing in fans.

If Iverson is patient he'll get playing time later in the season when the Grizzlies trade any player with talent to the Lakers for either a 2nd round pick or magic beans.

Wilbon was pushing the idea of Iverson to Cleveland today on PTI, but boy, I dunno, that might push the Cavs into alpha dog overload.

He's been suggesting that for awhile now. Not sure if it would work (for the reasons you suggested above), but it sure would be fun to have 3 of my all-time favorite players all on one team. And if there's ANY team in the league where Iverson might not complain about coming off the bench, you've gotta believe it's Cleveland.

Iverson is not just done in Memphis, he is pretty much done everywhere else.

Iverson knew he be coming off the bench and now it looks like he is going to retire? Honestly, I don't think it's the lack of skill or amount of points he can generate that teams are questioning, but more and more, it's his attitude of thinking he deserves more than what is being given to him.

Iverson to me has been a player who would put himself first and his team second. In other words, he was a player of great talent but not a great player.

Surprisingly, not many of the lower-tier teams have picked up on him because he at least gives them market value. The Knicks, who have done nothing in generating at true ball club go for talent first and team second. If that is the direction, then A.I. would be a good fit.

For a guy nicknamed "The Answer", there are certainly a lot more questions.

And that's the end of this silly experiment.

Allen Iverson, Memphis Grizzlies agree to terminate contract

NY kicking the tires?

They have to look at him, even if they don't sign him. They have no go to guy, no one to push the floor, no leadership, no draw for the fans. I know he doesn't play a lick of defense, is a headcase, and if paired with Robinson a small backcourt, but good God the Knicks really have to consider this even if it is the nuclear option.

Then he'll fit in perfectly with Mike D'antoni.

I guess not. After totally looking like a signing was going to happen, The Knicks announce that he is not the answer after all Click Here (sports.espn.go.com) . I would have liked to watch him for a year. I don't see why he couldn't start and eat up Duhon's minutes, at least it would be more entertaining.
