| #1 Posted on 22.3.09 0258.43 Reposted on: 22.3.16 0259.01 | Scoring 13 points in the Suns' 128-96 victory over Washington last night, Shaquille O'Neal moved to #5 on the NBA's all-time scoring list (with 27,411 points), surpassing Moses Malone.
The #4 person on the list, Wilt Chamberlain, is still more than 4,000 points ahead of him, and given the fact that even in Shaq's highest-scoring season of 1999-2000 he "only" scored 2344 points-- and he's 36 years old now-- it's probable that Shaq won't surpass Wilt. (Kobe Bryant, on the other hand-- who's #18 all-time and #3 among active players with 23,500 points-- might ultimately do that, though).
