Reposted on: 6.2.16 1440.21 | Dallas Mavericks' point guard Jason Kidd recorded his 9,888th career assist in the Mavs' game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, passing Hall-of-Famer Oscar Robertson for fourth on the NBA's all-time career assist list.
Only John Stockton, Mark Jackson and Magic Johnson stand between Kidd and the record, and while it's conceivable that Kidd could reach second place sometime next year, Stockton's record of 15,806 assists is so far above Johnson's that it's practically unreachable right now.
