Clippers but hasn't played a game with New York because a physical exam revealed a problem with his heart, has decided to retire due to said heart condition.
This wraps up a fairly successful career for Mobley, considering that he was only the 41st pick overall of the Houston Rockets back in 1998-- he leaves the NBA with career averages of 16 PPG, 3.9 APG and 1.2 SPG. His most successful year scoring-wise was with the Rockets in 2001-02 when, with 21.7 PPG, he was the team's leading scorer, averaging .1 PPG more than Steve Francis.
He played ten full seasons, and 11 games of the 2008-09 campaign-- playing six years with the Rockets, splitting the 2004-05 season between the Magic and Kings, and playing three full seasons (and 11 games of this season) with the Clippers.
Congratulations on a successful career, and I hope your heart condition doesn't have a debilitating impact on your life. Promote this thread! | | MUTigermask

It's too bad that he never got to suit up for the Knicks, they really need him. Since he couldn't it's nice to have the roster spot freed up. Patrick Ewing Jr is going to be tempting, but they really need a two guard that can play some point. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
