I did not see Battlefield Earth but I will say I like/love all of the Travolta movies listed.

That said, I absolutely HATED The Village.

The Lady in the Water. I was one of the last M. Night Shyamalan defenders (then he ruined Avatar: The Last Airbender).

To quote myself from the original thread about this movie:

    I hated it.

But, some people were outside the theater after the movie gushing about what a great movie it was.

It has a grass dog, evil monkeys, sea nymphs, magic blue mud and a guy convincing a group of people some mystical force is living in thier pool?

    What a piece of shit.

See, I was just the opposite. I thought 'Lady in the Water' was one of the absolute worse movies I've ever seen in my life. But I thought 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' wasn't that bad.

I had to look this up on imdb.com and I still can't recall ever hearing anything about this movie. You're weird, bro.

Heard about it from my band buds. After all my years working with bands, it's still funny to watch movies about "Almost-Made-It's", (just like "The Commitments" and "That Thing You Do!"), especially a spoof like this, completely making fun of Billy Ray Cyrus. You can't go wrong with Jason Priestly and The Fonz as shifty band managers and promoters. If you can't find it, I'll mail it to you. It'll be worth every penny!

If you thought Avatar was not that bad, then you never saw the TV series. And if you did not see the series, then watch it as it is one of my favorite all time shows. Then after you watch it, come back here and redact that statement.

When I heard they were making Avatar into a three movie series, I was moderately excited. Then I heard who was attached to it and knew it would be awful. We can start and end with the fact that HE CHANGED THE PRONUNCIATION OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS NAME!!!!! WTF???

Just saw it the other day, and it made me think of this tread.

The Black Hole

It's a bad movie that wants to be a better one. I know it's awful, but for some reason it just fascinated me when I was younger...still does apparently.

This is so funny as it is exactly what happened with the lovely Mrs. whatever. My kids and I binge watched the TV series on Netflix, then when we saw the movie, all of us were totally "Meh." My wife only saw the movie, and did not understand why we were underwhelmed until she watched a good chunk of the TV series with one of the kids (during a sick day). She made a point to apologize to us after that - she noted that she now totally understood our reaction.

I saw this movie in the theater as a kid and I thought it was a great movie.

A couple years ago, I saw it was gonna be on TV and I was really eager to watch it because I hadn't seen it since that day in the theater as a kid.

I couldn't get more than half way through it before turning it off. Go figure.

The Neverending Story 2: The Next Chapter. I love the original, but I think this one is better.

The third of the series is absolute shite.
