| #1 Posted on 26.8.08 1709.20 Reposted on: 26.8.15 1709.43 | Former Portland Trail Blazers center Kevin Duckworth, a member of the Blazers' Western Conference championship teams in 1990 and 1992, passed away yesterday at the age of 44 while on a trip to the Oregon coast to host a free basketball clinic.
Duckworth represented the Blazers franchise in the NBA All-Star Game in 1989 and 1991, and apart from his career as a Blazer, also played for the Spurs, Bullets, Bucks and Clippers. He retired from the NBA in 1997.

It was surprising to me to see the story about the clinic posted right above the story about his death. He was heavliy quoted in the clinic story.
