Rocky V. That was just an awful awful awful movie. I was so hyped up for the idea of one more Rocky movie, and they spring this on us. Just terrible.

Worst movie I paid for: Star Trek Nemesis. Worse than Star Trek V. Yeah, I said it.

Worst movie my parents took me to as a kid: Modern Problems. I'm not sure what my mom was expecting with that one, but we walked out after the nosebleed scene.

It's a tie between The Thin Red Line and Lady In The Water. I saw Batman & Robin in the theater, and both of those were worse. The Thin Red Line was so bad that the film actually melted at the end from the sheer suckitude. All I remember was the main character remembering pushing his wife in a swing while thinking, "What is the nature of evil? What is it that makes one man kill another man?" That, and Woody Harrelson blowing his ass of with a hand grenade. I've already mentioned my hate for Lady in the Water.

Thank you! I was reading this thread thinking "I know there's some movie that I'm forgetting, and I'm not going to reply til I know for sure". Fuck The Thin Red Line. I hate that movie so goddamn much.

I can't even remember what the title of it was, but it was a knock-off of The naked Gun, somewhere in the early 90's. My friend's brother and I went to see it and left like four minutes into it. Seriously. It was that bad. Out of the 15 people that were in teh theater when it started, seven were left right after we left. I tried Googling it and couldn't find the title. Sorry.

Event Horizon was a complete let-down, too.

Moulin Rouge indeed. I never walk out of movies, but left this one after 20 minutes.

One I didn't walk out of but should have is The Two Jakes with Jack Nicholson. It was supposed to be a sequel to Chinatown, but if you never saw that (like me) you were out of luck. What a boring movie.

Oh no, right actress but wrong movie. Moulin Rouge! is horrible, but it is a masterpiece compared to Eyes Wide Shut (imdb.com). That's easily the worst thing I've ever seen in a theater and one of the worst things I've ever seen and I minored in Film Studies.

The Thin Red Line was excruciating to endure. It's 10th grade level existentialist viewpoint was infuriating, especially coming on the heels of the non-stop critical fawning over this huge chunk of shit.

I saw it on a Saturday night in a packed NYC theater. Half of the crowd was expecting a thought provoking post-modernist look at man's inhumanity toward man and the other half was expecting a war picture with some action. Within 30 minutes the audience was collectively seething, you could feel that shit in the air. A dude two rows in front of us had been kicking the back of the seat of the guy in front of him. The guy asked him to stop three times, then the kicker responded with a fuck you. The guy who had been getting kicked in the back, stood up and asked once more for this to stop and the kicker told him to fuck off again. The dude who had who had been the recipient of the kicks then blasted this motherfucker in the face with a Bas Rutten-style open palm strike to the nose completely smashing it flat. The asshole screamed in pain to the collective delight of the 500 plus dissatisfied patrons. Bas Jr. proceded to follow up with three more strikes to this dudes face rendering him into a heap. They stopped the film and the cops were on the scene quickly. Everyone vouched for Bas Jr. and the cops took the asshole out and down to St.Vincent's. They started the movie back up and the tension in the theater over the film's utter shittiness had subsided but it still completely sucked. No wonder that talentless hack hadn't made a film in 20 years.
