Okay, the boring stuff's out of the way ... Now the "big" news is that resident whipping boy Mike Adamle left the announce table during the main event (in mid-sentence even), followed soon after by Tazz.
My guess? WWE doesn't want to admit that "promoting" Adamle to lead play-by-play man was a big mistake, so they're going to incorporate his removal into a storyline by saying that he had a nervous breakdown.
Dumb, but I would imagine it would give them an opportunity to save face rather than announce "Okay, we gave him two weeks and now it's time to try someone else" ...
I still don't understand why (in storyline purposes) Styles couldn't be an announcer and head up operations at WWE.Com ... Michael Cole was able to do both (although I don't think they ever officially recognized his webmaster duties on-air).
EDIT: Well, I guess I should've checked WWE.Com first, as it looks like they are running with the "crazy" angle (wwe.com):
Adamle and Tazz reportedly exited the arena and marched straight to the parking lot. Adamle was said to look shocked and expressionless as he left.
Maybe the residual juices on Mister Socko affected Adamle's mental state (you'll remember that he kept sucking on that thing, Tazz finally had to tell him "Okay Adam, take it out of your mouth now") ...

| #3 Posted on 30.4.08 1105.27 Reposted on: 30.4.15 1106.58 | I tuned out in disgust when another "DQ because of too much punching in the corner" happened between Punk and Palumbo. Plus I have no tolerance for Kane vs. Chavo and Bam Neely so I missed the walk out.
I like it though. It seems to me, with both RAW and ECW having bizarre circumstances ending each show this week, they're trying to inject some unpredictability into the shows. Who could have expected either Regal shutting RAW down or Adamle and Tazz walking off? What's gonna happen now? I dunno, but I'm interested.
However, if you listen to Paul Heyman, he has a whole different and rather interesting take on why Mike Adamle is (was?) the lead announcer of ECW:

It was almost like Tazz was working alone, except for the occasional video-game-esque call from Adamle. ("Devastating kick!" or some such.) I had no idea they were building towards something. | Kevintripod

That should probably read as in "in shock", rather than "with a shocked look". | 2P4E

I'd happily watch Kofi in a real long feud with Shelton rather than just continuing his undefeated streak against random wrestlers, it wouldn't be too hard to elevate them both that way. | BigDaddyLoco
