The particulars:
Atlanta leading Miami 112-111 with 51.9 seconds left in OT on December 19th. Shaquille O'Neal is called for a foul, and the Atlanta scorekeepers, who had inadvertently listed a foul on Udonis Haslem to O'Neal in the 4th, informed officials that O'Neal had fouled out. Which he hadn't. The mistake wasn't caught until after the game (which Atlanta went on to win 117-111), and Miami filed a protest, which was granted. Atlanta also got hit with a $50,000 fine for the failure of the scorers.
The game will be resumed from the point of O'Neal's foul, 51.9 seconds left in overtime, 1 point Atlanta lead, on March 8, prior to the team's next scheduled meeting. Until then, the Heat become slightly less lousy, with their record adjusted to 8-27. | Promote this thread! | | BigDaddyLoco
