Anyone here want to be on Joost?
I installed it at work for about 2 minutes but I need to take it back off. I am apparently in the Beta now but it appears I can invite people. I think they must have opened it up to a wider audience. Promote this thread! | | thefraserman

I've already used things like SopCast before (to watch the NFL Hall of Fame Game, for example). | samoflange

The biggest thing on here to me is the Fight Network. I'm of UFC being the only MMA I can easily watch, and the Fight Network isn't offered by my cable company.
Anybody know what the deal is going to be once this is out of Beta? I imagine they'll starting charging something for it. If it's priced well, I think I've got a replacement for my cable TV plan. I'll just have to find a way to watch Lost, the Office, and 30 Rock. | The King of Keith

| #10 Posted on 7.8.07 2355.56 Reposted on: 7.8.14 2356.36 | First of all thanks Guru for the invite greatly appreciated. SO far so good, good quality, great channel choices, especially the music and sports, but...I CANT FIND NBC,Comedy Central et all.
I know there is an IP problem with the PR ip that they think we are not part of the US and hence no programming, but I really thought here it would be different. Argh anyway to bypass or change IP? Maybe I have different channels you guys don't have because of it, lots of Europeans stuff which is great. Somebody is going late to bed tonite! Thanks again Guru | Guru Zim

| #11 Posted on 8.8.07 1147.45 Reposted on: 8.8.14 1148.27 | It's not a full TV replacement - it's more of a TV on Demand option. So far I haven't really used it much except to send out invites to people.
The quality looks pretty good and the couple of Robot Chicken episodes I put on came through fine. I watched about 5 minutes of Clockstoppers as well.
Interesting. I don't think it would replace TV for me for a bunch of reasons. | Guru Zim
