| #1 Posted on 27.2.07 1020.35 Reposted on: 27.2.14 1020.46 | Wow, and to think Dallas fans were freaking out when the Mavericks lost their first four games of the season: with their win yesterday over the Hawks, the Mavericks became the first team in NBA history to claim three 12-game winning streaks in a season.
If it hadn't been for those first four losses, we might be seeing tons of hoopla about Dallas actually breaking Chicago's record of 72-10. As they're currently 47-9 though, they'd have to win their next 25 games in a row to break the record or 25 out of 26 to tie it. But it isn't too unreasonable to suggest they may end up winning from 67-70 games this year if they can keep the momentum going.
Also, you know it's a strange year when Dallas sets a new record for most 12-game winning streaks in a season while Boston loses 18 games in a row. I wonder if that's another example of God's famed sense of humor.
