I know I'm the only one who misses this gimmick: Mordecai.

And for the record, I don't consider IRS "Wrestlecrap".

I miss The Mountie/The Quebecers. It wasn't a CRAPPY gimmick by any means, it was fun. The entrance theme alone made it worth it.

I quite liked Mordecai. I thought it was a very unique character, but the wrestler himself was just....boring.

Norman The Lunatic was a great idea in theory and if properly applied to a new wrestler would work.

Taking a big guy who's an uncontrollable monster in the ring and SO dangerous you have to cart him around with long shock sticks while he's in a straight jacket is just brilliant. Why anyone would want to step in the ring with someone that completely insane is another story ....

I think when Kane first unmasked, had he kept the burn marks and the Larry from 3 Stooges hair, he could have EASILY been saddled with that gimmick and turned it into World Champion material.

Not sure if it qualifies, but I loved the Teddy Long and D'Lo Brown "White Boy Challenge" It sucks D'Lo was replaced by Rodney Mack. They should turn Teddy heel again!

Did D'Lo have a white boy challenge? For some reason I only remember Rodney's, and I was a huge DLo mark.

Eh, he still wrestles and has bar none the greatest facial expressions, but when Steven Regal jumped ship during the monday night wars and had the gimmick of being a "Real Man's Man". He'd come to the ring with a hard hat and flannel vest, his entrance music was like some rediculous Statler Bros. style singing (HEEEE'S A MAAAAN, SUUCH A MAAAAN, SUUCH A MAAAN, HEEEE'S A REEAAAL, REEEEAAAL MAN'S MAN) to train whistles and the sound of metal hitting metal. Best of all were the vignettes; splitting firewood, squeezing fresh orange juice, all manner of weird shit. Never doubt the braintrust of Vince McMahon and Vince Russo.

D'Lo had the gimmick for a month or so before he left the company. It seemed to be getting over with Teddy as the mouthpiece. Then Mack was brought in and it sadly went nowhere. D'Lo then went to TNA and basically went nowhere himself.

Orlando Jordan's early TNA gimmick.  Descending from the heavens while wearing only TNA themed barricade tape was hard to top.

If not Disco, then I would include his many imitators like dancing Alex Wright, Tokyo Mangum, Norman Smiley and the Big Wiggle. That's one of the great things about WCW that gets overlooked: the number of wrestlers with great, goofy dances for taunts. That bit of levity is sorely missing in wrestling these days.

As for gimmicks that have been on Wrestlecrap for years now, how about the Don Muraco/ Mr Fuji 'acting' skits? They are fondly remembered and are always a hoot to watch. I feel like the WWE is missing a golden opportunity in reviving 'Fuji Vice' with Miz and Mizdow. Imagine the possibilities: Miz trying to prove what a great actor he is only to be upstaged by Mizdow. Numerous retakes because their co-star can't tell either man apart. Mizdow needing a stunt double of his own and hiring Ted Dibiase Jr. out of unemployment for the next installment of the Marine. The hilarity would be endless.
