| #1 Posted on 6.12.06 1836.06 Reposted on: 6.12.13 1836.09 | I was talking with a couple of co-workers about Pete Maravich, yesterday. One of them, swore that he had a drug problem. Specifically cocaine, and that he went to rehab for it. I don't seem to remember that.I do remember him kinda fading from the spotlight after retirement, but nothing pops into my head about drugs. Anyone else hear this, before? Or can confirm or deny it? Promote this thread! | | ekedolphin

| #5 Posted on 10.12.06 1527.50 Reposted on: 10.12.13 1528.19 | I've got Pete on my mind quite a bit lately. I've read two Maravich bios in the last month. Neither one mentions drug abuse although they both cover his drinking. One of the books, MARAVICH (Federman and Terrill) is easily the best basketball book I've ever read. The research is incredible. | StingArmy

In that case, we'll just call you our resident Pistol Pete expert. Maybe it was his heavy drinking that I was thinking of, who knows.
