Someone brought this up on another board and I thought I'd share it here: Annheiser Busch preaches "Drink Responsibly", but runs an ad featuring guys drinking on the roof of their house.

I was!
Anyway, a down year for the commercials. I like the AmeriQuest ones ("don't judge too quickly), the careerbuilder.com monkeys, Fed Ex and "not my problem," the Bud Light "Magic Fridge," and the MacGuyver spoof (I think I would've liked it more if I hadn't read about it airing beforehand).
The Diet Pepsi can one bordered on lame, but having it's stunt double be Diet Coke was great. | Dutchie

We were just recertified in CPR at work last week; if only it had waited another week, the timing would have been perfect. The Burger King one was funny only for the image of catapulting food onto a bun. I don't know why, but I laughed. The Superbowl intro thing with Harrison Ford and some past MVPs doing "Oh The Places You'll Go," and the Budweiser commercial with the two horses pushing the wagon while the foal pulled, were cute.
I live in eastern PA, and all but one of the "posing with the Lombardi trophy and talking about what it means to be a champion" commercials featured only Steeler players. I'm assuming other parts of the country saw similar commercials with Seahawk players, and was wondering who was featured in those?

I think that was national. I only saw the Hasselbeck one in the second half, and I read some column (I think it was Bill Simmons) who mentioned the same thing, and if it was Simmons, he lives in LA. | The Goon

It freaked me out seeing all the poses with the ultimate prize. Anyone who's grown up watching hockey knows that players refuse to even touch the Stanley Cup at any point in their career until they've actually won it. | JayJayDean

I was hoping this was what the Seahawks were thinking, like "I'll look at and hold the trophy AFTER we win, thank you" and declined to be part of it. They were all Steelers until the half here, same as everywhere. | vonLampertheim

I found the rest rampantly unfunny, though the Yosemite Sam/Mudflap commercial did manage to get me to crack a momentary smile... :) | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
