| #1 Posted on 6.2.06 0002.32 Reposted on: 6.2.13 0003.19 | I'm surprised this thread hasn't come up (unless I missed it). This year's crop of commercials was particularly weak, but there were still some good ones, especially from the gang at Anheiser Busch.
The best one for me was the football game between the Budweiser Clydesdales getting interrupted by the sheered sheep streaker.
Close runners-up for me include the lone pony trying to be a Clydesdale and getting a kind assist from the two other Clydesdales. "I won't tell if you won't" got a collective "Awwww" from my Super Bowl party.
Closely behind that one would be the Bud Light commercial with the bear attack.

They really seemed to be lacking this year, but those were gold. | drjayphd

| #6 Posted on 6.2.06 0656.35 Reposted on: 6.2.13 0657.44 | Agreed that it was a weak bunch. Of them, my favourite was the caveman FedEx ad, only for the end where the guy kicks a baby dinosaur before getting stomped on himself.
Other than that, the magic fridge was good as well as the pickup football game-"You were open but now you are CLOSED!" The only problem with that commercial was the girl having to nail the guy in the end.

2) "Magic Fridge".
3) Dammit I missed the sheep streaker.
4) The Honda Ridgeline Yosemite Sam/Mudflap Woman ad.
5) Clydesdale pony - the wife loved it.
6) The Pizza Hut payoff with Miss Piggy. Okay, I liked the Muppets when I was a kid, and when this started, I was just ready to complain about the saturation of the Jessica Simpson ad. So for Miss Piggy to come out, then to start lobbing the pizza bites around, I lost it.
7) Bear Attack.

| #10 Posted on 6.2.06 0818.08 Reposted on: 6.2.13 0823.12 | The ad that got the biggest reaction for me was the MacGyver themed MasterCard commercial.
I marked out like a little kid when I saw Richard Dean Anderson back in his MacGyver jacket, using various household items to escape danger. It was such a cool little moment that I literally got out of my couch when I saw the commercial come on.
It was even more fitting that it aired during the Super Bowl on ABC, since I grew up watching first-run episodes of MacGyver right before sitting down to watch Monday Night Football with my Dad. | dunkndollaz

Second favorite was the "Don't judge too quickly" Ameriquest commercial with the guy in the hospital. The wife and daughter's reaction when the nurse said "that killed him" was classic. Sure it was wrong, but it was still hilarious. | dwaters

| #13 Posted on 6.2.06 1021.01 Reposted on: 6.2.13 1021.14 | I loved the FedEx commercial, especially this caveman exchange: "But FedEx hasn't even been invented yet!" "Not my problem!"
I thought Pepsi's "Brown and Bubbly" was corny, but the other three people on my couch were caught singing it at various points. It also sparked the debate "Is Pepsi Brown or Black?".
I wasn't sure whether to laugh or be offended by the Ameriquest ad. Not as good as last year's "You're being robbed!" cell phone misunderstanding.
Enough with the bears, Clydesdales, and monkeys.
Nice to see Tedy Bruschi with his kids in the NFL Network ad.
OK ads, OK game. Nothing truly great. (except Tom Brady sticking it to the Steelers one last time this year with a coin toss going against them.) | J. Kyle

Yep. My Favorite.
The H3 commercial is old. I had seen it before - somewhere.
I liked the Nationwide "He's dead", the Awwww factor of the babp clydesdales and the office beer hunt best. Oh, and McGyvery Mastercard.
I was suprised at the weakness of: Diet Pepsi ads.

Ameriquest's "He's dead" was okay, but no way are they ever topping the cat-and-spaghetti-sauce one from last year. I kinda liked the Diet Pepsi one with Jackie Chan. Other than that, not much that sticks in the memory (except for the wrong reasons, like Jessica Simpson's Pizza Hut ad, which probably killed Nancy Sinatra on the spot). | The Goon

| #20 Posted on 6.2.06 1403.09 Reposted on: 6.2.13 1403.15 | As one who flies frequently, I LOVED the Ameriquest ad on the plane. The FedEx "caveman" ad was great, although I expected it to be a Geico commercial, what with the cavemen and all.
The ABSOLUTE WORST ad of them all was the MIND-BLOWINGLY STUPID "Whopperettes" ad from BK. Brooke Burke could've been naked on the swing and it wouldn't have saved it. And it was A MINUTE long, so they paid almost $5 million for the time. |
