Maybe the pumps are of the age that they can't charge more than $2.99 a gallon. I've heard some stations are offering prices by the half-gallon to get past that. And some stations are only selling 10-30 gallons at a pop.

I did manage to fill up at a place that still had it for $2.99. Had to wait in line, just like when I was but a lad. I wonder if they'll bring back the even/odd license plate thing? Although vanity plates would screw that up now. | AWArulz

All of those Deltas and RaceWays that were the cheapo stations were ALL the first to throw the $3.199 price up there. In the past two days I have passed at least 10-15 of these, and only ONE of them had a car getting gas. Ha! Last night I found a $2.699, filled up, and went I went by it tonight, it was $3.099. On the NJ side of the Lincoln tunnel tonight I saw $3.399 for regular.
I guess every single one of these places in the last 48 hours had a truck come by and had their underground tanks filled with "the expensive gasoline." | drjayphd

We're using them all. Spotted $3.35 regular in an unspecified town west of New Haven, and I think there was $3.45 just down the street from them. | Mr. Boffo

It's so hard for us to get regular, so our supplier cut us a deal where they delivered 4000 gallons of premium and only charged us for regular (and put it in the regular tank). Then today, the only regular we could get was the 10% ethanol blend. | bash91
