At my local mini-mart, where it's usually the highest in the Twin Cities, a gallon of regular is $2.699. Ugh. And Minnesota gas is supposed to be CHEAP!

Right now it's in the 2.50-2.60 range, and that spans from Tallahassee to the Tampa/St Pete area, since I was just there a couple of days ago. It's also climbing, so it might be higher by next week.

My station is at $2.59, or at least was this morning when I drove by. I just got back Monday from 10 days in SoCal, and was pretty shocked to see that prices rose ~ $0.40 during my time away. I'm pretty glad I filled up before I left.

Our local stations are running at $2.79/gal. thanks to the wonderful "reformulation" foisted on us by the EPA.

If we drive 15 or so miles north, we can get "good 'ol gas" for about 10 cents less per gallon.

$1.06 per litre (CDN) at most places. If I stop for gas halfway between Regina and Saskatoon, I can get it as low as 97 cents/litre.

That translates into 87.8 cents to a low of 80.4 cents (US) per litre.

That, in turn, translates into $3.32 to a low of $3.04 (US) per gallon.

We start around $2.39 here, but I paid $2.81 for premium in Lincoln, Nebraska on Monday.

Best stay home this weekend...

If you have a Flex-Fuel vehicle and can use E85 (85 percent Ethanol), you can apparently buy gas in some places for under $2. AND have 105 octane fuel.

I normally stick to Chevron, since that's where we have a credit card. (Dumb, I know, since we're paying for gas AND finance charges.) The cheapest Chevron in Glendale had regular for $2.71. The expensive one, just off the freeway, had regular priced at $2.85, with premium going for $3.05. Even the "cheap" stations, like Arco, are hovering around the $2.70 mark. That was 3 days ago, though. I should go out and check again today.

And I just bought a new car with a bigger tank, but at least it gets better mileage.

$2.58 by my work in Mahtomedi, MN.

I should probably get some before it spikes up past $2.60.

$2.699 and holding steady since the weekend. Because of this, I'm actually going to skip on my weekly trip to Madison this Thursday.

Seriously, I'm thinking that my next car (in 10 years or so when I need one) will be a hybrid...or something (maybe one of those Ethanol vehicles).

Edit: Oops, it was $2.599 LAST weekend.

$2.659 for regular near me. Found some gas for 2.5199 earlier two days ago, but I'm sure that station has gone up again.

The station I went to this morning had regular for $2.71 and premium for $2.89. Of course, prices are soaring by the day so hopefully those prices don't look cheap in a few weeks.

You knew it was coming - it's time for the overtaxed Brits to have a go on this thread!

90.7 pence per litre (standard unleaded) round here, and my area isn't that expensive by UK standards. Which if my math is correct, works out at about $6.30 per US gallon.

Ouch.

Mac's by my house had 100.4 cents last night, and Calgary's Finest Daily Newspaper (the Herald) reports that it's mostly 103.4 city-wide.

It was $2.299 around two weeks ago, but in the space of a couple of days it shot up to $2.599, then $2.759 as of yesterday. I fully expect it to go down at least 40 cents the week after Labor day.

cranslm is right. It is $.10 lower to the north.

$2.699 at our station. According to http://www.axxispetro.com/download/wisconsin-cta.txt , the station's cost from the terminal in Green Bay is something like $2.50 right now (1.94 + approx .54 cents / gallon state and federal taxes).

And I'd doubt they're going to fall unless crude prices do. (image removed) For reference to the chart, oil prices right now just fell below $65 / barrel.
