Star Wars Trilogy - I imagine this will sit in the plastic for awhile next to the Indiana Jones box set also still in the plastic.
Invader Zim: Progressive Stupidity - 2nd DVD of Invader Zim. Really looking forward to having time to look at this.
Grave of the Fireflies - because it was cheap at Target and I've been meaning to see it forever.
Aaron also picked up the new release of THX, and Hellboy. I'm considering picking up the first Princess Diaries, for the same reason that I own a copy of Breakfast at Tiffany's... some days you just need a really girly movie to watch by yourself. Of course I also own copies of Serial Mom, and Harold and Maude for days you just want to laugh at a evilly dark comedy. The only ones I buy are ones I know I'll watch over and over--otherwise, I just don't have the space. Naturally I get the Lord of the Rings extended versions, but I got my Star Wars set fifteen years ago, and I refuse to pay extra for George Lucas's second thoughts.
Grave of the Fireflies? Oh lordy, do NOT watch that alone or when you are feeling out of it. It's beautiful, beautifully made, and the saddest damn animated movie in all of God's creation. Consider yourself warned.
