Well, I'd be beaming right now if Ratner didn't become Donald Sterling East and shipped K-Mart and Kittles away for virtually nothing. Promote this thread! | | redsoxnation

I'm pulling for 'Zo, though-- by all accounts he's a true class act. I'd like to see him have a successful year. On the other hand the Nets are in the Eastern Conference, so there's more than a little bit of me that hopes it blows up right in their faces. | DJ FrostyFreeze

The "Nets' seven-time All-Star center" reportedly is "gearing up for a comeback." But his agent "said Mourning had told him no such thing." The "real question seems to be what team Mourning would play for if he did come back, because it doesn't look like the Nets want him."
He goes on to say that Mourning isnt even in the country right now. You can find the entire article HERE. | Kawshen

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Seven-time All-Star Alonzo Mourning will attempt a comeback with the New Jersey Nets this season, less than a year after a kidney transplant.
"I am feeling great and am excited about attending training camp and possibly resuming my career," the 34-year-old Mourning said in a statement released by the Nets on Wednesday.
"We look forward to Alonzo joining the Nets in training camp," Nets president Rod Thorn said. "Hopefully, he will be able to resume his career and play at the high level he has in the past." | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
