Hey ladies, I got a serious question to pose here. Now, I had a really brutal migraine this weekend. But in my painkiller induced haze, I really started to put some stuff in perspective. I also got AJW Dreamslam I (One of the biggest wrestling events ever) in the mail this weekend, so in lieu of Unforgiven I watched that tape while I was on the mend. Something really stood out to me after I saw the main event involving Akira Hokuto and Shinobu Kandori (two of the toughest woman wrestlers of all time).

That match was one of the greatest of all time, and I saw something I don't see too often - Hokuto had her face covered completely in blood. Now, we see that happen to the men all the time, but not with the women. Even when her shoulder was popped, Akira was trash talking and brawling. That got me to thinking. What will it take to truly silence the "PUPPIES!"? Trish's face covered in blood? Molly's? Victoria's?

For so long, us female fans are mostly used to the eye candy, and divas presented as slaves or misteresses or indiscriminate sluts (in general and more so than athletes). Hell, when a man forces himself on them, they do nothing because they're "frozen with fear". Hokuto never froze. Freezing is something she never does. What would happen if Eric Bishoff of Vince McMahon tried to mack on the Dangerous Queen (hokuto's nickname)? they'd be lucky if their jaws were still in place.

Having watched japanese women's wrestling, it's obvious to me, that us women are more than the exterior. We are capable of possessing a fighting spirit even more terrifying than the men. Yes, the Dangerous Queen taught me that while I was drowzy from the Excedrin. If you want to learn more you can check out profiles of both women here...

Shinobu Kandori:

After you've done that, you can check out Dreamslam I for yourself, and there's a ton of places to find it on the net. It's definitely worth looking for.
