Yep! University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (Go Fighting Phoenix!) senior forward Mike King is going to the 2004 Olympics (or at least this month's Olympic qualifying tourney in Puerto Rico) as a part of Team Canada.
Finally...the high-caliber player they needed to compliment the inexperienced Steve Nash. (image removed)
The Guelph, Ontario native was also on Team Canada's Pan-American Games squad, making him UWGB's 2nd ever Pan-Am player (the other being Tony Bennett, former San Antonio Spur and son of the now-Washington State coach Dick Bennett, for Team USA in 1991.)
Proud of King, and to be a UWGB alumnus I am...but I'm still rooting for Team USA. (You Canucks rigged the ice in Salt Lake City anyway!) (image removed) | Promote this thread! | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
