| #1 Posted on 21.4.03 1752.12 Reposted on: 21.4.10 1752.16 | I've known about this man since his St. John Red Storm days and you can say what you want about the Jailblazers - but Ron Artest is by far the most insane, psychotic player in the NBA right now. And if he isn't - sign him up for a movie deal b/c he's a hell of an actor.
Just like to put down some favorite Artest moments:
- While playing with the Chicago Bulls, he applied for a part-time job at Circuit City. Seriously.
- Getting in Pat Riley's face and messing with the entire Miami Heat bench. As a Knick fan, I was so hoping Ron Ron would slap that rug off Riley's head.
- 7 seconds into a game, Artest turns the ball over to Ruben Patterson and fouls him on purpose.
- The Pacers just lost to the Knicks and Artest takes a $100,000 High Definition camera from the guy filming him and destroys it.
- Most recently, it wasn't called b/c it was an "accident" but he kicked Tony Battie in the back of his head.
It's pretty pathetic in a way b/c he's an excellent defensive player (people DO fear him) and a decent offensive plater. He'd be great if he focused that anger and whatever into getting Indy some wins.
Well, Artest is psycho but an entertaining psycho. Promote this thread! | | chuckc14

| #3 Posted on 22.4.03 1502.31 Reposted on: 22.4.10 1504.29 | Call ME crazy, but I love the way he plays. He's out of control sometimes, yes, but man NO ONE wants to see that he's going to be guarding them. It's not just because he's a loose cannon, it's because he's a defensive animal. I hope he doesn't change his game one bit. I'd even live with some of the T's and flagrant fouls. As long as he tones down the really dumb stuff (throwing cameras, getting in Riley's face etc.) he'll continue to be one of my five favorite players. | spf

I mean Rodman almost single-handedly won the 1995-1996 Finals for the Bulls by disrupting the whole Sonics team. But when they get out of control the only team they destroy is their own. | pieman

Does this mean Artest is going to be showing up on the SD PPV this summer? And, it will take a lot of effort to be the craziest alumnus from St. John's. Jayson 'I throw chairs in the stands at fans and shoot limo drivers' Williams still has a large lead on Ron. | Big Bad

| #10 Posted on 24.4.03 1755.15 Reposted on: 24.4.10 1758.21 | Did you see the interview on ESPN he had with Greg Anthony? Ronnie was asked about the (anger management) medication he was prescribed while he was in Chicago? Ron just said he threw it away, and that he's never taken medication in his life. That was almost as funny as the Robert Blake interview.
As a Blazer fan, I KNOW that its only a matter of time before Bob Whitsitt acquires Ron. Hell, Trader Bob is still trying to sign "Puck From The Real World". | tomvejada
