I got Brand in my fantasy team and his stats have been very useful. He missed a game today with a bruised hip, which sucks. Hopefully not getting an Allstar nod will piss him off and he'll get even better numbers.

No one who ever played at Duke was any good. They become good once they leave the place of evil that is Duke. Though I may be a tad biased with my poor old 'Heels sitting at bugger all and lots.

I'm okay with having the Heels having one really shitty season. It's a new coach, let him build his own Dynasty now. Unfortunately, it'll take a long time to get all those records back into a respectable position. Here's hoping we do something SPECTACULAR and somehow make the NCAA's so we don't break that streak...

I think you have to file the Tourney under "Wishful Thinking" for this year. Heck, they'll be lucky to get NIT at this rate.

Good line on PTI today...

"The NIT just added 8 more teams to the NIT tournament, can North Carolina get in now?"

"The only way North Carolina can get to the postseason is if they add a third tournament."

Nonsense. All North Carolina (6-14) has to do is win the ACC tournament, which means they'll more than likely have to get past Maryland (18-3), Wake Forest, North Carolina State (both 17-6) and #1 Duke (21-1).

Heh heh heh.

On second thought... the Heels might make a good run at “winning” last place in the ACC. Remember, North Carolina fans-- losing isn't a BAD thing... it's a GOOD thing.

Damn Bastards kicking the poor old 'heels when they're down. Mind you if it was some evil team like Duke, I'd be in with both feet.
I'm wondering if Capel and Lang wish they had declared last year...

Dirk Nowitzki did the same thing...two days in a row. Although actually, one of those days he had 30 something points.

dirk is an awesome player i admit that too.... i've just been a huge brand fan ever since his college years... tonight with 2 minutes to go in the first he already has 8 rebounds.... wow

(edit)... end of first period and he has 12 points and 11 boards... that's awesome!

That is pretty impressive, if the Bulls still had Brand and added Jalen Rose and Travis Best with the recent trade I imagine they could probably make the playoffs in the weak Eastern Conference.

Yeah... i think getting rid of brand was one of the worst moves that the bulls could ever do... the games over and he put up 27 pts and 23 rebounds.... those aren't shabby numbers... stupid bulls

You can't say yet, though. If Chandler is Garnett or Kobe, then that's better than Brand. It's a high standard to be better than Brand for sure, and obviously Krause has a lot of confidence in his ability to evaluate high school kids. But, maybe he's right. We don't know yet.
