The language is a little confusing. What's the difference between "scheduled programming" and "shows"? Also it seems VOD content is separate, so those are not "shows"?

I wonder how it interacts with Adblock. I'm at work so I haven't had the opportunity to test, but my AdBlock kills Youtube ads, so it might kill the network ads as well. Or they could go the annoying route and flash a message saying something to the effect of "disable adblock to continue viewing."

I take it to mean there won't be (new) ads during the live stream EXCEPT between shows [airing during the live stream].

Looks like they're probably going Hulu for VOD, which will be a terrible, horrible idea unless it somehow lowers the price/keeps the price low, in which case it will probably achieve begrudging acceptance as a necessary evil.

I still haven't come back, though, even though I'm less than six months away from WrestleMania (weird that they don't include WrestleMania hype in their spiel they not want people thinking that way?) and I still get about one to two emails a week from them reminding me that my sub expired. Thanks, I think I'm aware.

I think what they were trying to say is they're not reediting shows to insert commercials in them (so far), but you'll see commercials before and and after shows no matter how you get to them (live or VOD.)

Should have titled the thread "I'm afraid I've got some ad news!"

I guess it really hinges on how they implement it. I can deal with Hulu+'s ads, so I can probably adjust to this too. If I weren't splitting the cost of this with a friend, I'd probably be more irritated about it than I am.

At least I know where to go if I want to see even more of the Dale Jr doing doughnuts in the wetlands ad.

I'm surprised they haven't done this sooner, but I'm not sure how much companies are going to pay for this privilege. They are reaching under a million homes, and there have to be plenty of people like me who just aren't watching unless there is a PPV or special event.

Well, if you were enjoying searching for a performer and watching just their match on a show... this is going to ruin it for you.

They'll probably do the standard 2 ads per VOD to start and 1-2 to end, but that's still enough to annoy me. It should be like Pandora - if you watch enough, sure, ads - but otherwise give me the 4 NXT per month I watch ad free, as well as the PPV. I'm not taxing the system...

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I distinctly recall every PPV I've watched on the network had a few Diet Mountain Dew commercials.

Thumbs up to you, thumbs down to this. They really don't get they're offering a premium service, and how is this going to get more people to get it? The CRZs of the world who already left are going to have one more reason not to bother coming back.

They still keep taking my money, even after my six months, and never sending me an email or any other information about cancelling or renewing.

I don't want to renew. I'd rather wait until Royal Rumble time and sign back up.

Now there's going to be ads?
Fuck this.

Isn't the whole point of paying for the service is that you don't have sit through ads?

It's getting bad now that they have screens at house shows and run ads or promos between every match. We had to sit through the Connor Crusher one and get hit up to donate via text.

It's just off-putting that they are trying to convince people how great they are. Especially people that have ALREADY BOUGHT TICKETS.

So, does this give me a loophole to opt out of my 6-month monthly renewal which I'm already having buyer's remorse about?

If you want, I think you already have the loophole of "dang, we didn't think people would just stop paying. well, what're ya gonna do."
