| #1 Posted on 26.9.17 0726.05 Reposted on: 26.9.24 0726.09 | Roman Reigns after getting handed the WWE torch for like the second or third time get his ass handed to him by...the Mizentrouge. Yea, your mileage will vary on this. For me the Shield to reunite to face Miz and two jobbers is very weak sauce. It almost falls the same pattern of Cena/Rock vs. Miz/Truth where its beneath the faces to do battle with this weak heel team. Even after the chair beatdown of Reigns, its still Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. if anything I liked Reigns after the Miz promo where he seemed more comfortable talking trash to Miz.
Braun and Dean had a decent match, probably the only good match of the night. Mickie was savage with her response to Alexa both verbally and physically. Enzo's celebration as the main event was dumb. It didn't help the CW division and Braun coming out to murder Enzo after the show was the dirt on the grave of 205 Live.
Yet, the dumbest thing of the night was having Finn/Goldust with the Bullet Club outside the arena only to continue the Wyatt feud. Just dumb on a level I can't even fathom. It was literally a WCW move not to show them all the while the wrestlers are signal boosting them on twitter. Like just let them in and give them a mic. At the very least have Cody attack Finn to set up the rumored Starcadde match with the Hardys vs the Rhodes brothers. A match that might get scrapped due to Jeff, so just do Cody vs. Finn or The Rhodes vs. Finn and mystery partner cough Sting cough. Promote this thread! | | andy1278

Miz was getting actual boos for beating down Roman proving he is the ultimate heel. I'm sure there is an essay or two on WWE shoving Roman at us coming soon.
Dean coming out for the Braun open challenge was fun, and I'm not all that into Dean Ambrose singles wrestler.
I cannot believe we are getting more Finn vs Bray. I thought it wrapped up rather painlessly.

I can't fully put my finger on it, but I think more than anyone else his moveset just seems fake -- as in, "okay, it was obvious he practiced that and thought it'd be cool to do in a match." I'm thinking of the run to the corner, one foot on the turnbuckle, to push off and run the other direction. Looks more like a movie musical dance fight. Ambrose and the Jets. | KJames199

When DX did it to WCW, WCW got killed for not letting them in. It would have jumped the ratings for Nitro and probably defused a bit of DX. Instead, WCW was seen as wimps. | graves9

A ROH contract, please. They are NXT of NXT. I am just dream matching about Sting. I say even if it was a one time deal even in a shoot way, the Bullet Club taking out Finn or even Roman with a Shield reunion would have been awesome. Its not like Cody or the others would go out of their way to hurt people especially Cody with Dustin still in the company.

| #13 Posted on 26.9.17 1438.50 Reposted on: 26.9.24 1438.53 | if the idea is Enzo is supposed to be the big heel* of the division, then why have everyone destroy him on night one? It was a bit that came off like they had no longer term plan or direction, which probably means the long term direction is just more Enzo. Enzo as the star, Neville is the next challenger, everyone else are filler guys** with one mind who's own feuds aren't as important as Enzo.
Whenever they do this bit with the main roster, you can tell who are the real top guys because they're not on the ramp with everyone else. WWE didn't feel a need to protect, say, Tozawa or Swann or anyone besides Neville that way, and it confirmed they don't really see all that much into them. That segment said to me both that 205 is going to be all about Enzo, and there is no next plan behind held in reserve. Either 205 Live becomes a successful show (not just creatively, but in interest) around a guy who's going to offer nothing of what the show originally promised, or there's a good chance it won't be a show.
* - in a promotion with failed babyfaces Roman Reigns and Jason Jordan, I think we should wait a day to see if he Enzo actually turned. He was an annoying guy last night, but he's always that guy.
** - Gulak's standing out as not filler; 100% committing to his character is only going to help.

Awwwwwwwwww man ...
Booker T is awesome. Booker T is like watching a show with that friend who is only half paying attention to what is going on and says whatever comes to his mind in between bong hits. In other words, he is an amazing break from the very structured format of WWE announcing. I don't know how he gets away with it.
205 Live just had Hornswaggle win the Cruiserweight title. The whole thing is dead. Neville not showing up on Smackdown was the most surprising thing about that show tonight. | SKLOKAZOID

| #18 Posted on 26.9.17 2240.41 Reposted on: 26.9.24 2240.45 | There's a lot of things that Vince is completely disconnected from. One of them is in how fans see The Miz.
I think Vince sees him at a Jericho level, as a smarmy heel that he can plug into the main event and put him against A/B-level guys any time he wants.
You guys might see this as a downgrade for Reigns after beating Cena, but remember, Miz was also Cena's WrestleMania feud. Someone Cena beat handily, of course, and I expect no less from Reigns in the end, with maybe an interference loss somewhere in there like next week, to build cred for The Miz.
Plus, it's a fall feud. It's, like, who cares? We all know where this is going by Rumble/Mania.

I like Booker-T and have no problem with his announcing.
But I see that Wade Keller has been really bashing Booker-T's announcing in his RAW reviews. |
