So, the Cruiserweight Division debuted. In the middle of the third hour. That's really not a bad thing. They plugged it all night long as a way to bring up the third hour's L+SD ratings. We'll see how that worked out for everyone.

Foley was horrendous with his introductions. As far as commentary, thank the good Lord for Corey Graves. I shudder at the thought of Bradshaw there. Was it Cole who was all like "ooh, tope con hilo...look at Corey with his fancy word moves."

The entire arena begin showered in a purple glow (and the purple RAW logo!) was a little weird at first. But I think it's good to call attention to CW segments as something different. I *think*.

The match was a pretty good showcase for four guys who deserved a showcase (LOL at everyone talking about why Gran Metalik wouldn't show up for another month; also LOL for Metalik doing an inset promo with no subtitles). Boo for not bringing your new Champion out in front of the live crowd. Like, that was really stupid.

Overall I thought it was a good intro. Mick Foley himself makes the strongest case for having the division on SDL.

Oh yeah, at the end, the crowd was supposed to chant for Rollins to come save Reigns from an Owens & Rusev beatdown. The crowd YES'd the beatdown instead.

Maybe Owens is the guy to redeem Reigns. They work well together.

Cedric and Swann are great, selling like top showmen and trading moves worthy of Lucha Underground. Kendrick, at 37, seems like a short-term use. Might as well give him that title shot now.

Why wouldn't they have put Perkins on the show?! The match was great but not showing the champion on the show, apart from the quick highlights, and show him to the crowd and audience? Even if he isn't going to have a match he could have sat at ringside or come out after the match and stood face to face with Kendrick. A missed opportunity. And Foley at the start was terrible so it was good to see the match being good and making up for it a bit. Next week they should keep Cole and Saxton quiet and let Corey call the match on his own like Joey Styles used to do for ECW.

It's a shame that it looks like they are going to go with the heel champion loses lots and looks weak routine.

Jericho is amusing and looking like he is enjoying it which is good to see.

Mick actually sorta-apologized on Twitter for TJ not showing up on camera, even though it obviously wasn't his call...

Kendrick is also one of the few from the CWC who's been working sorta-heel so I'm sure he'll go all-in on that on Sunday.

I really hope Neville isn't left out in the cold just because he wasn't in the CWC...he's not doing anything else, put him in the mix with these guys. Heck - turn him heel over bitterness about not being in the CWC or CW title hunt...

Cedric lost 22 pounds to make the weight for the CWC. I could easily see him putting that back on and winning the world title, the guy does everything and has "superstar" written all over him.

Kendrick made sense as far as heel/face dynamics go. An interesting twist would be the aforementioned embittered Neville turning heel.

I recall Cole calling actual move names and even Paul London being name-dropped. Are we sure the headsets were functionning in gorilla?

THE LIST.

'Nuff said.

Hilarious that every time someone new interrupted Jericho's promo segment, Jericho would just grimace and start writing a new item on THE LIST.

Not sure using the soundbite "gotta love Eddie Guerrero, he has a heart the size of a mountain" is the best choice for a guy that died of a heart attack partially due to an enlarged heart.

Cass needs to pull Enzo aside and brainstorm some other positive attributes for himself. Enzo gets to be a "Certified G and a Bonafide Stud", while Cass "is tall". "You can't teach height" is what they say about basketball players with no other discernible skills.

I thought of that too...
Also seeing clips of him & Chyna is pretty sad now as well.

Oh - second best quote of the night - Owens from inside the cage yelling at Rusev - "MACHKA something!!"

Chris Jericho is a treasure but I'm not sure how that led to a segment with all the tag teams? The better move would've been for Jericho to interrupt Mick Foley's precious Cruiserweight division and brag about being the lone remaining WCW cruiserweight. Then let Jericho work his magic on getting these guys over because as talented as they are in the ring, just having them show up and wrestle isn't getting them over on Raw or Neville would be the most popular guy on the roster.

Also, now that there's another whole division on Raw they needed to shoehorn a ten man tag just to get Enzo & Cass and the New Day and Jericho and Zayn on the show? Yeesh. You gotta get rid of some guys. (Other than Swagger)

I continue to be amazed at how many times Jericho gets himself over. He is such an amazing asset to the WWE that Vince should just hand him a blank check every year and tell him to fill it in.

Only drawback was that the list didn't include "ARMBAR".
