| #1 Posted on 5.6.18 2035.27 Reposted on: 5.6.25 2039.14 | So the jury rendered their verdict today in WWE doctor Chris Amman's slander case against C.M. Punk and Colt Cabana from when Punk was on Cabana's podcast - they found in favor of Punk and Cabana.
Wrestlezone.com had a reporter there each day (save for opening arguments) and following the notes posted there was kinda fascinating. If you followed closely, I'd imagine this result wasn't a shocker. Other than spoiling his Thanksgiving dinner, the plaintiffs never really seemed to show how Amman was damaged by this, other than fans online trolling him and him getting cat-called in arenas. I guess the jury thought that wasn't enough. Promote this thread! | | lotjx

Said he was glad he could move on, and felt bad that Colt was dragged into this. The last question the reporter asked was, "are you all in?" which he answered "No" pretty emphatically. | kellogs

| #4 Posted on 6.6.18 1626.05 Reposted on: 6.6.25 1627.57 | I don't think that most people understood this, and not sure that I do to be honest, but Punk & Colt win but only win by not having to pay stupid money to Amman but still have to pay a lot of legal fees. As I say I am not claiming to understand everything here but this looks like a win is a win that isn't as good as it seems on paper. Or am I missing this completely? I am only basing this on what I have read elsewhere so could be completely wrong.
And there is no chance at all that I would rule out an appearance at All In, be it ring or ringside doing nothing but being on camera. | thecubsfan

Lawyer types have said homeowner's insurance might have covered the legal fees for either or both men, depending on what exactly they had in their policy. There's still likely costs involved but it may have not hurt as much (and they might have not had the option to settle if the insurance company didn't want to settle.) | InVerse
