Wasn't sure if I should post this here or in football, but on espn.com, you can vote for who should be on the cover of Madden 12 (espn.go.com). Every team has one representative in a five round single elimination tournament. Some repeat nominees are present (Brees, Vick, I think Fitzgerald too.) Some strange choices (Woodhead to represent the Pats, the 12th man to represent Seattle.) Voting in round one is open until 3/27.

Hmmm, I'm tempted to vote for the 12th fan if only to see how the curse plays out next year.

Seattle's already had their basketball team hijacked from them. Is it really necessary to subject their entire football fanbase to the Madden Curse?

There's always going to be a 12th Fan as long as there's football...oh no, it's happening already!

I'm voting against Rodgers...for all of the right reasons. You can keep your Madden Curse EA Sports, far far away from Green Bay. That being said..Go Suh!

Ah, memories of stuffing the ballot box last year for Jared Allen. Somehow, it still worked.

I voted for every number above 50 I could see. Even as a Jets fan, seeing Jake Long the OT on the cover of a Madden game would positively tickle me pink (aside from the fact Sanchez doesn't deserve a video game box).

The only exception I think was that I did not vote for Patrick Willis if only because the 12th Man picture looks like a generic football fan and I think it'd be funny to see shelves full of that dude.

If everyone was smart, they would vote Ochocinco on the cover. Watching him and the Bengals fail even more than usual and the bonus of knowing that Madden sales would dive and bomb, possibly causing the end of the curse once and for all, would be a win-win for all (well, except for Cincy fans, but who really cares about them ).

I basically voted for everyone I'd like to see suffer the Madden Curse more. (I also voted against my team's own candidate, Dwight Freeney).

Am I doing it wrong?

God better be on notice if Steve Johnson doesn't win.

I liked it when John Madden was on the cover

I was kind of hoping for the option of voting for Roger Goodell and DeMaurice Smith.

They really need to include a collective bargaining mode to make the game more realistic.

Yeah, and kick it up a notch: Make it mandatory for you to successfully complete the mode before you can even start the new virtual season.

Before the end of next season, news breaks that the Seattle Seahawks are moving to Los Angeles.

I seriously can't believe it took me this long to come up with that idea.

That actually already happened after the 1995 season. They made them come back, though, and then Paul Allen bought the team.

Yeah, I always deliberately keep myself a year or two behind on the sports titles to save money.

NBA 2K11 was my rare exception to this rule, because of the improved My Player mode, Jordan Challenge and Jordan: Be a Legend mode.
