| #1 Posted on 13.4.18 1404.24 Reposted on: 13.4.25 1404.45 | Rumors are running around that Rusev has asked for his release from WWE. Apparently he was added to the Fatal Four-Way at Wrestlemania to try to appease him, but (allegedly) he got pissed when he was booked against Undertaker in a casket match in Saudi Arabia -- where, of course, he'd be the loser. He's now been replaced by Chris Jericho ... and his social media includes (1) a cryptic tweet of "Life is life..... it will be #RusevDay somewhere" and the addition of an email address (I guess for booking purposes) on Instagram.
Would be shocking if true. He's one of the more popular guys, but if he doesn't like the path he's on then I guess he needs to make a change. | Promote this thread! | | andy1278

The guy does deserve better. Much like Ryder, I'll never understand how a company sees a guy moving merchandise and then decides to not further push him for it. He is selling calendars! IN APRIL! I'm not saying push him to the world title, but he is worth sticking with a midcard title or in some kind of featured role while he's hot.
At the same time, I don't see a casket match with Taker, even if losing, as punishment, especially if it is on the show they are trying to make as big as WrestleMania. Dude, you're in a featured match against the Undertaker. John Cena had to beg for over a month to get a match and you just have one ready for you. | Quezzy

It's not like he was replaced by a jabroni, he was replaced by Chris freakin Jericho. Jericho is a wrestler that, no offense to Rusev, more people want to see vs. the Undertaker.
But yeah, Rusev does this sort of thing on Twitter all the time. I'll believe it when Rusev has been on the indies for like a month, because even one or two appearances on the indies could be a storyline work. I think that might be where they are headed with KO and Zayn. | StaggerLee
