It's not MY fault everything was a rerun last night and everybody hates "Community" now!
Or do they? Apathy is the worst thing for a TV show - even worse than hatred in some respects - and we're now two weeks in a row without a courageous thread started if I don't step up RIGHT NOW. SO.
I thought it was fine, but apparently even just that puts me in the top 5% of positive reviews. Everybody on Twitter seemed to hate it...which led me to believe everybody on Twitter is too much of a Community smark for their own good.
Or maybe I'm too old and don't remember the first "Germans" episode well enough to be infuriated by last night's episode as the hardcores.
You tell me.
(Oh, plus, Malcolm McDowell! COME ON, you gotta like that at least?!)
The Chang stuff (and, by extension, the Dean stuff) is shoehorned and pointless, though, I'll grant you that.
You clicked submit pretty much as soon as I was done this on PVR, so my thoughts are still very fresh. Except, uh, I really don't have an opinion. I don't know that anything happened that was actually hate-worthy, but this season has been landing with a soft thud with me. (As did the second-half of last season too, so I'm not ready to chalk that up toHarmon only.)
"Northern Illinois posted its best defensive effort in seven seasons allowing just 42 points on Saturday afternoon, but it came in a losing effort as the Huskies fell to Eastern Michigan, 42-25, at the EMU Convocation Center. "

I liked the WWII humor and thought it's the funniest episode this season. Harmon or no Harmon, I'd still watch this over Big Bang Theory.
While I'll concede that this season hasn't been quite as good as the last three, I've still been enjoying all the episodes quite a bit. Malcolm McDowell (and his character as a disgraced "real" professor) was absolutely fantastic, and there were a number of really good gags. On the other hand, we had already established that everyone else at Greendale hates the study group, so I'm not sure why that came as such a surprise to them.

I agree with you. However, my love my Mayim Bialik's character of Amy Farrah Fowler has me tuning into TBBT every week. She is the best character on TV and the most consistently funny. I can deal with the other stuff as long as she is on.
This show feels like The Simpsons of today. It has characters I like that used to do really entertaining things that are now all somewhat less compelling doing stuff that no longer seems groundbreaking. Much like The Simpsons I would rather watch this than most anything else and it is not like it fell into the dreadful state that The Office found itself in the last couple years.
The Burn Notice joke was the hardest I have laughed at a joke that wasn't that funny.
Thread ahead: Arrow 1x16 - "Dead to Rights" Next thread: Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale and The Justice League Previous thread: Time's Up for Zero Hour
My DVR crapped out on the last few jokes, but what I saw was at least a good not great. The female Mr.T's hands being too dangerous she can't be a lesbian was a pretty good one. Cleveland's B-day was good too.
