(Click on the "DVD" thread icon to find threads going back to the beginning of the year...here are links to the previous four weeks: 5/29 - 6/5 - 6/12 - 6/19)
Hello.
We have 429 new releases following the opeining spiel, and you'll find all of them on Amazon during the week beginning Tuesday, 6/26. No good reason why we have so many this week, just a lot of different folks putting out a lot of different stuff. If you have money burining a hole in your pocket, I'm pretty sure you'll find at least one thing that will get you curious enough to either place an order or remember to keep an eye out when you make your weekly Best Buy trip. (Other people do that, right?)
I pretend that these are organized, but we all know how that goes. Generally, if your mind starts to wander, look for the horizontal line which tells you we're breaking to the next section.
For those of you who haven't endured one of these lists before, it works thusly:
Hovering over links should provide you with Amazon's current price.
CLICKING on those links will take you to the Amazon shopping cart with a friendly referral from The W - consider making your purchase through us and it'll place a few coins in our tip jar!
Because Amazon sometimes can't come correct with the information, you will see some exposition from me (or, more likely, a bad joke) in addition to the listing along with IMDb icons (which can be clicked to take you to a movie's IMDb listing) or tv.com icons (which can be clicked to take you to the relevant episode list from tv.com)
All links should open in new windows so you can come right back here after your research! (If you want - we're totally flexible about that!)
Please tell a friend (or vote 'em up Digg/Netscape/&c. with a click of the icon of your choice at the bottom) about this post because it takes me a long time and I'm a big fan of more eyeballs!
Please feel free to add a reply and share your two cents about any of the listings you see here - show off your impressive knowledge, share your opinion about something you've seen, something you're looking forward to seeing, or make your own crappy jokes which are better than mine!
We also hope that if you buy something, you come back and tell us what you thought about it!
If you have something to say but don't want to say it publicly (or register for the board), you can also email me direct at CRZ.DVD@gmail.com!
All this and more...starting RIGHT NOW
Better than getting poked in the eye with a sharp stick, it's our

I have yet to see this, but I SO want to. The hit of Fantasia last year, about a would-be serial killer (in training) being followed around by a documentary crew in a universe where Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers are real people. Answers the burning questions like why Michael Myers can always catch running teenagers while appearing just to walk.
Robert Englund has a key but small part doing an homage to the psychiatrist from Halloween.
Originally posted by CRZShooter (Full Screen Edition) Shooter (Widescreen Edition) (2007) Mark Wahlberg IS
It has its moments, but the bad guys are as dumb as posts, there is a wacky coincidence involving the lead FBI agent that is a little hard to swallow and there is a last minute reveal that makes you wonder why you just went through the last ninety minutes. And the last five minutes of the movie are sort of what the movie should have been all about, but by that point it is a little bit late.
Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
The last five minutes starts with the Attorney General of the United States saying basically the bad guys are guilty of international crimes against humanity, but we're doing nothing about it because they're Murrikans, which is spookily like the real US position on the issue. Then he basically looks at Mark Wahlberg and says basically, "Of course if they were all to die horribly we'd probably chalk it down as - They needed killing." And then Wahlberg FINALLY goes all Arnie in Commando. Compared to the Action Heroes of the Seventies and Eighties, the Action Heroes of today are PUSSIES.

You know, sometimes I don't click on these links because I'm afraid of what Amazon will start offering me based on browsing history. I guess I should sign out or something.
Bozo: The World's Most Famous Clown, Vol. 1 30 shows on 4 DVDs
I was surprised I didn't see this advertised all over WGN, where Bozo still exists as yearly party mascot and the odd public appearance, but then I read the raging debate in the reviews about Bozo versus Bozo, and apparently this is the NY Bozo. Kinda should've listed that in the comments, kinda not surprised they didn't.

Ahem. You might mean "not the Chicago Bozo" as this Bozo was the one syndicated in a lot of markets including the Champaign-Decatur-Danville one downstate here.
Chicagoans. Sheesh!

Originally posted by crz"The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3: The Complete Series (NBC, 1990-1) Based on the smash video game, originally aired with "Captain N" Saturday mornings on NBC - more info, trailers AND details of all 3 (!) discs at Shout! Factory (shoutfactorystore.com)"
Amazingly, I don't remember this show. I remember Captain N of course, and I actually own volume 1 of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show.
By the way, a quick rant. I hate that they didn't include a few episodes of the Legend Of Zelda with the Super Mario Bros. Super Show box sets. One of the bigger reasons I bought volume 1 was to see LoZ. I bought this SMB:SS set, and then one of the trailers before it was for the complete LoZ box set with all the LoZ cartoons on there.
I know it's my fault for not reading the SMB box set carefully enough. But since the LoZ cartoon was part of the SMB:SS show (coming on every friday), I just assumed it would be on there. Oh well.

MST3K Video Jukebox, Volume 2 Original Theatrical Trailers (for all except "Ring of Terror") A "Tormented" Reunion (with Bert I. Gordon, Susan Gordon and Joe Turkel) MST Hour "Jack Perkins" Wraps for "Tormented"

BTW, just curious if it was you CRZ that posted this thread at Fark or someone else? Saw it run by already having been denied the green light and was curious.
It's interesting that the onen "Cult Camp Classics" set I was interested in is the one that DOESN'T make the Top 24 (it's at #27, right behind "Super Mario Bros. 3" - go figure)
Next week is Independence Day and it looks like NOTHING is coming out 7/3. Well, "NOTHING" actually means "about 150 odds'n'ends" so... see you Friday!

I posted it over there. I don't intend for it to get greenlit, but I am a TF'er and I like TF'er's so if any of them come over here, I'm good with that.
